Question about Washing Machines
Upon Starting the washer it locks the door and starts, then The F1 Starts flashing and the washer stops. IF I stop it and start it really quick by the third try It will run through it's cycle. Help this has been an ongoing problem since I bought this machine. I am really frustrated with this. When my washer was about 18 months old, it started flashing the F1 code at the beginning of the wash cycle. I have to push stop and start four times then it works until it gets to the rinse cycle. Then it flashes F1 again. At that time I push stop and start two times and then it works. So far I have been doing this for months. I have called Sears and they want to send a repairman out at the cost of $65.00 just for the call. I am not letting them come because I have seen what it costs to fix this problem. I have read where others have spent between $300 and $400 to fix it then it won't stay fixed. I will use it until it tears up completely and then go buy me a cheap machine that will probably do a much better job.
Sorry to tell you but you have a faulty control board. It is a bad part from the factory. They know that its bad too! They have completely remanufactured the part. There is lawsuit against whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis) for the problem. Some people have been able to call and complain to whirlpool and got them to pay for the repair. Complain a lot. Good luck. sorry for the bad news.

Folks F1 means the board is bad, I would definitely call the line listed above with model and serial number. They will schedule a tech, maybe me if your in Phoenix and they will give you a receipt, but if there smart the call will be set to transfer the charge to Sears:)

The F1 error code on this washer indicates a Primary Control Board failure.
It is likely that the machine control board will need to be replaced to correct this problem.
The part number for the machine control board is undetermineable because you have not provided me with the exact model # of your washer.
The procedure for replacing the machine control board is provided HERE
NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.
There is a slight possibility that a problem with the pressure switch hose could be causing this problem.
A pinched or twisted air hose can cause this fault code.
When you open the console, check the air hose connected to the pressure switch on the machine control board.
If it is pinched or crimped, I recommend rerouting the hose to resolve this problem.
This may fix your problem without replacing the control board.
NOTE: You may want to check for this condition before ordering the control board. Most electronic control boards cannot be returned for a refund or credit.
If you find no apparent problems with the air hose on the pressure switch, then replacing the machine control board on this washer should correct your problem. There is a risk involved in replacing this part yourself.
As noted above, you could have a problem with the air pressure hose that is not apparent upon your initial inspection. A service technician would normally need to properly and thoroughly diagnose this problem before replacing the control board.

That F-1 code may be related to a failed pressure sensing due to a pinhole leak or a tubing fell off or sediment in them bottom of the tub. Check that tubing to see if it is blocked with stuff that may impede the control from correctly sensing the water level. use them lungs to blow out any sediment you might have in there and reconnect that tubing securely to that control. It don't cost nothing to do these things before ordering any parts. If you done fixed it then party on my friend. I have more HERE
