Question about Proview HX303 30 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
1.) I have hooked up my PS3 to my proview 3200 lcd tv. HD cable and all. But when I put a movie in the screen was pink. The same thing happened when I tried my dvd player. But when I hooked up the HD cable it went away and worked fine. What do I do to get rid of the pink tint so I can view it normally. It looks great when I play games.
2.) When I put my satellite box to my tv I do not get HD channels. There is a grey rectangular shape on both sides from the top to the bottom, rather than the black strips. I have already tried adjusting to 720p and 420p and 1080i but none of it works. When I press the button on the box for 420p it takes up the whole screen but to the right and i can ony see the bottom.

Maybe the input on the tv needs to be adjusted to work with the cable tv for example in the tv menu where you can adjust the sources for the inputs maybe it is set to something like RGB instead of HDMI. If you have a user manual consult it on how to change the input devices. Good luck.

I just fixed my proview 3200 that doesn't have picture but with sound.
First, thanks for the tips I got from this forum. I checked the 24v from the power supply board and that's perfectly working fine. I then check the fuses in the Inverter board. There are 4 white fuses (2amp I guess, i cant remember) and 1 black fuse (1amp/76v just behind the wire connector going to the power supply board). The black fuse is the one that blown out on my tv. This fuse supplies power to the LM358A IC. I know its not right but I just solder a thin piece of wire to short circuit this fuse. I'm lazy to drive to RadioShack to find this fuse. :)
....and that worked beautifully. Check the picture attached for what I did.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
Please post back what you find.
