Simple dear, I think that you can see the power led and hdd led but it wont boot. Right. So switch the system and than open the cabinet and than remove the RAM , CLEAR THE DUST ON THE SLOT AND RAM. THAN REPLUG IT IN THE SAME WAY. PLEASE DO NOT INSERT IT FORCEFULLY BECAUSE IT WILL GO EASILY IF YOU ARE INSERTING IT IN RIGHT WAY. SO CHECK THE POSITON OF THE NOTCH ON BOTH THE RAM AND SLOT OK

AND THAN START THE SYSTEM. THIS MIGHT DEFINATELY SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.

Please use blower or vacuum cleaner to clean the dust in the system and take precaution that your system get proper cooling and is kept in dust free area. So that this problem will not arise repeatedly

Everytime I go to sites where I have to sign in it says page cannot be displayed.(meaning facebook,hotmail).... If anyone can please help me I've been having these problems for about a 2 weeks now and...

This could be an indication of malware installed on your system, but it can have other causes as well.
What is your OS? What browser(s) are you using?
Download and run ATF cleaner (from here)
Then download and install Malwarebytes Antimalware software from here. Update it and run a quick scan of your system. Choose to fix any problems it finds.
Then, without rebooting, go to windows update and download and install any updates available for your system.
Now reboot and check the working of internet explorer? If you still have problems, go here and follow the steps to troubleshoot your browser.
Report back and let us know how it works out, and if you continue to be frustrated, we'll be happy to help you sort it out...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

How to remove BV malware gen on my PC c:windows/pc.off bat

Before we begin, you should save these instructions in Notepad to your desktop, or print them, for easy reference. Much of our fix will be done in Safe mode, and you will be unable to access this thread at that time. If you have questions at any point, or are unsure of the instructions, feel free to post here and ask for clarification before proceeding.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum.

Download ComboFix from one of this location

Computer will not boot up. I have tried to boot up in safe mode, normal, safe mode with prompt command...nothing works, just goes back to the normal start up screen and keeps doing the normal start up over...

It looks like you're encountering an endless reboot? Here's what to do to find the actual error message.

  1. Turn on the computer, and press F8 after the POST screen but before Windows attempts to start to access the advanced startup options.
  2. Select "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" and press Enter.
You should now get a blue screen with an error message and error codes. Please write these codes down and report back.

Dell Dimension 5100 power up problem

I had same issue with dimension 5100 Desktop. I work at Circuit City as the Lead Technician. I found that swapping the power supply did fix the problem! When i initially tested the power supply with a standard power supply tester, the power supply appeared normal. But after swapping the PC works great. Thx for the good idea!

HELP

I would check the Ram and CPU. If you can swap the ram you have with good ram, or if you have more than one stick of ram in there take one out at a time to see if thats the problem. Next go into bios and check the CPU temperature after you have been running your computer for a while. The problem with diagnosing this problem is how much time in between freezes. 18 times in 6 months makes it hard to diagnose, because you won't know if you fixed the problem unless it freezes again after you changed something, and even if it does freeze again it could be because of an entirely different problem.

My computer keeps rebooting itself.

First check the cmos (3V disc shape)battery on your motherboard is ot flat, as this causes reboot loops. Also check that the processor fan is free of dust and so you can count out overheating.
