should also be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is
very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

its the same old storey...its stoped heating! most of the time its the magnatron burned out,,,very pricy part that is,,,best thing to do is ask for a price for a repair,,,,, then go out and buy a new unit,
dont play inside of your microwave,,,it can still kill you!!!! be warned!!!
Hi, The main internal component of your microwave oven is called a magnatron. This is the device which generates the microwaves that heat your food up. If your oven appears to be working properly but it's not heating the food, it means the magnatron is not generating microwaves. It could be faulty itself or it could be a component linked to the magnatron. (high voltage capacitor) etc. Have this component checked by a qualified technician. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Best wishes, Graemevm
The model is GE JVM1650BB1. After searching information on the internet, it is almost 100% the Magnatron that has stopped working. Unless I can get GE to give me the part for free and try my hand at replacing it, it does not make sense to pay to have it fixed. Whether GE or another serviceman comes to fix it, it will cost as much as a new one. For this unit, the Magnatron is over $100 from what I can tell.
If you have another suggestion, I'd like to hear it. Seems like GE and perhaps other brands have planned obsolescence with the Magnatron part. Amazing how there is no recall on this part and the consumer groups do not go after this. Good thing our airplanes don't have parts like this that can break in months or years.
