Chances are the ink cartridges are stopped up with dried ink. These printers have this problem if you don't use them often and just let them set up. Try folding a couple of paper towels so they will be several thicknesses, then wet the paper towels with water and place in microwave and heat them up really hot. Take you ink cartridge and place the ink exit area on the paper towel and rub it back and forth. This will wick the dried ink out of the cartridge exit. Put back in printer and try it. You may have to do this several times to get it back to good condition. Hope this helps.

I see you concern, I believe you will need to check your toner if it is placed properly inside the machine seems that it is not locked/latched in its place to be able to print properly reason why you get a blank paper and black dust when printing.
Remove the Toner and re insert it again making sure the toner is set properly inside and also make sure the correct toner cartridge is installed, an incorrect or incompatible toner can cause issue of not getting to print anything on the paper or possibly not fit inside the machine correctly.
Normally a blank copy is caused by the image not being transfered from the drum to the copy paper. Which indicates a problem with the transfer step of the process, check for a bad transfer roller or a bad transfer belt. If this is not very obvious, run a copy and try to turn the machine off or open the front cover during the copy process when the copy paper is about half way under the drum and check for a toner image on the drum. If there is no toner image on the drum you may have a developer problem, broken drive gears etc. But if there is a toner image on the drum but no image on the paper then it is a transfer issue.
Is the paper (copy) truly blank? Please look very close at the page. It sounds like the coratron (charge) wire (s) are broken. These are thin wires this use electrical charges to transfer the image onto the paper. You can go online and order a small spool of the wire and restring the wire. You do not have to be a doctor to do this repair but a steady pair of hands is very good. NOTE:::::: pay attention, most of the coratron units use tiny springs... so look and listen in case it falls out. You can restring with out the spring but it is better with the spring. Remember when stringing the wire, not loose but do not over tighten.
one problem with this machine, a small pin comes out on the paper release handle in the back, which lets on side of the paper lift tray to come up higher than the other. might look in that area. good luck
