SOURCE: MY SCREEN HAS BROKEN DOWN !!!! Help ...

If you have access to a monitor, connect it to your laptop, you may need to hold down the function key and press the "CRT/LCD" key which may be F8 or F7 key, and see if you are able to see anything.
If trhis works, you need a new display, take it to your local computer repair shop.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck.

Check monitor is set to correct input (VGA, DVI, HDMI) if it goes to sleep instantly.

Otherwise screen resolution is set too high. Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 during boot. Login and lower screen resolution.

Laptop white screen, please help

Yes! the video graphics card is usually built into the motherboard, from the description it took a high static charge in the main board and is causing cascade failures, I would consider a new computer.

The screen is red when i turn on and the frame around the windows explorer is red. This hapen after my laptop full down from the table.

The LCD Is probably broken. It could possibly be the ribbon cable but the LCD would most likely need to be replaced.

I have a dv2000 hp laptop & the screen doesnt work properly when i open the computer. it acts up when the the screen is moved back & forth

Your computer your laptop will just shut itself down and get a black screen unexpectedly, which is due to: power overload in the AC adapter, overheated processor / clogged fan, overheated battery, pushing the power button, Windows telling it to, the BIOS telling it to, loose wires (especially the power cord), or intermittent short circuits. The most common problem is cooling. the battery should be removed from the laptop and allowed to cool to room temperature before attempting to use again. Notice if the fan is broken or clogged with dust.

Loose Monitor on a HP Pavilion ZV6233nr Laptop

It seems that some screw that was loose is now totally out of socket. The latch assembly might be disbalanced due to that. To me it doesn't seem to be a broken latch.

I have a red strip about a a wide all the way down the screen

It sounds as if your display is going bad. If put a little pressure on the screen and the red strip warps it is probably your liquid crystal display in the screen itself.

IBM T-40 Thinkpad Stopped Working

IBM's are famous for this ...that's why they've changed their keyboard configurations so frequently, because palm pressure would either a) prematurely damage the hard drive or b) cause problems with the AC/DC card (IBM's term, not mine).

My guess, since I used to repair IBM laptops for a living, is the AC/DC card. It directly controls video output to the LCD. You can probably find one "pulled" on eBay for around $50, and probably $50-100 for someone to install it for you.

Hope this helps - remember to rate! :)
