The screen on the Samsung Plasma Display went black all of the sudden while using it. There appeared to be no power to the unit. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in and got the red light at the power button to turn on. When I pushed the power buttun you could hear the clicks from the relays and nothing happened, and the red light disappeared again.

SOURCE: TV power keeps clicking off and on no picture

Hello,This problem happens when the voltage of pin 1 of IC804 is low. The low voltage is caused by pin 4 not being 20V this is caused by two capacitors not functioning properly ( a 22uf cap in parallel with a .1uf cap) replace these and replace the 24K ohms resistor with a 44K ohms resistor (as per update specs). This should bring pin 4 to 20V and allow the set to activate. Replacing the 24K with a 44K is recommended by the manufacture to prevent the cap from going bad.Or if you do not want to do this yourself have a qualified TV technician do this for you.Thank you,Shuttle83http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

SOURCE: my tv will not turn on the red light just blinks

When checking the capacitors, If they are slightly rounded on the top where the X is, the cap is defective.

To repair or replace the board -

Faulty parts on PS board , bad press for Samsung.

Because the Samsung LNS4051D would not turn on and the power
LED would blink 4 times and the relay would click and this
would repeat again and again. I replaced power supply board
parts CM806, 811, 812 & 817, all 1000 uf 10v capacitors,
three had their tops bulged up slightly that I missed on
initial visual inspection. After seeing the reports of
problems with these caps on
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336881-will_not_turn_or_off ,
I replaced them with Radio Shack part 272-1032, 1000 uf, 35v.
They are slightly bigger, but fit OK. TV is working fine now.
Cost was 4 x $1.59 = $6.36 plus the time. I saved between
$100 to 300 in the process of either replacing the board or
getting the unit serviced. If you are not comfortable
replacing components which means using a soldering iron, you
can replace the power circuit board, available from
www.Samsung.PartStore.com.

Hi,

This is an internal error. If all the three lights are blinking, the sub power board may be bad.
Below is the description for this error on your TV :-

Steady Red light

Try to hard reset it. Unplug it from the power strip for about 4-6 hours and try to turn it back on. If you get BSOD-Black screen of death again and LED blinking then you need to replace the blown caps on the power supply board (PSB) Radio shack or harbor freight tools to get a solder kit w/ flux and about a dozen new thru- hold caps 2v above the current ones on the board. There is also refurbed PSB's on shopjimmy partsstore and ebay. To gain access to the PSB you need to remove the back panel. The PSB with be Printed on the Board Power Supply and the REV number (part number) will also be printed on the board. Disconnect the wire harness and ribbon cables if any and a few screws to pull the board out for repair or replacement. The board only goes in one way. Number the wire harness or take pics to you now which wires go where when you go to replace the board back in the set. Make sure you do this with the TV unplugged...

My 32LG350 wont turn on. I just pluged it for the first time i bought it like a month ago. it was working but suddenly it turned off by itself and wont turn on either by pushing the TV on/off boton neither...

Try unplugging the the TV from the power outlet for 30 seconds to a minute and plug back in again. Try to turn on again. Some TV's have to be in a "ready mode" to operate by remote - so besure it is in that mode - or use the power button on the TV.

Good luck!

AKAI 32" LCD HDTV WILL NOT TURN ON

The only solution at this point would be to get the power supply repair since new boards are not longer being manufactured. In about 95% of the time if the LCD doesn't power up or turns OFF by itself or need to be unplug for some time to make work again; those are the symptoms of a dying or defective power supply.
I service these power supplies, for more info write to jah2mil@hotmail.com

LG LCD TV Standby Light Flashing Red Continuously

I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.
