The transfer roller seats under the drum unit. You most likely need a new drum unit. Have you pulled the drum out and dose it have black lines on it? If so, that is where the problem is.... Or it could be coming from the fixing unit..

Copier proble,s

Hi Joe in Tampa, What part of Tampa are you in? I use to live in Tampa. Are you asking about a Di-3010 or ai. If it is a Di you can most likely just clean the primary charge unit that charges the drum. I would clean & check the primary grid. If you clean it you have to remove the grid from the unit ( it has a push botton to release the tension of the grid) I would use Windex to clean it. The try to reinstall the drum unit and see how it works. It may be that the drum is worn out, but I don't know how many copies are on it. If it is a smaller desk top version you may need to change the drum cartridge. I'm not to sure what a ai-3010 is. Good Luck

The Ai3010 - fading image at 200,000 copies = needs a new Optical Drum + Cleaning Blade + Main Charger Wire + Developer + Transfer Assembly.

White stripes on pages copied from ARM 205

If you changed your developer? Or did you change the Toner Cartridge?
White stripe? Check the charge on the drum, it might have a piece of dust on it.
take the charge out, (dont take it apart) hold it up to some light, you might see some dust particles hanging in the grid. If so, rub very lightly with finger, do not use a cloth to clean. Blow it with a can of air.
Clean the transfer charge as well
Usually replace those as it is such a pain to clean on the smaller machines.
if you need any further help let me know
Thanks

Black horizontal lines across pages

If they are the same distance apart every time then suspect the problem to be caused by the components in this order First the drum that is in the print or xerographic module, the charge and cleaning roller are located in that module also. So I suspect that first.its .Located above and to the right of the toner cartridge. Secondly it could be the roller on the toner cartridge, that would occur probably every 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart, the drum would cause the defect about every 3 inches. It less likely could be coming from the fuser, and if the fuser was causing that you should also have a lot of jams. There is also a transfer roller on the right hand door that could be causing it, but that would be exceptionally rare.
If the lines are random and have no consistant spacing, I would suspect the power supply then the laser.

Solid Blank Line

If it's blank, is this on what you send/recieve?

Also if you print something like a status sheet, is it missing on those too? If so, your print head needs replacing.

If its on copies/sents you need to clean the scanner head.

Copies print with horizontal lines

thin lines? spaced about 1.5 inches apart could be toner left on the drum, take the cartridge out turn it over and retract the shutter, manually turn the drum using your thumbs on the edges of the drum, do you see thin lines on the drum? sometimes something sticky gets on the drum attracting toner and then it transfers to the paper during the copy process
