Check for obstruction in door lock mechanism. The celenoid is behind the back panel of the stove.

Maytag Oven model MER5755QAQ has lock on the display and the oven will not operate.

If one of the position switches on the latch assembly is not reading, the control will sometimes lock because it "thinks" a clean cycle has been initiated, if replacing the control did not fix the lock icon, test the switch... Incorrect temp probe and thermostat failures can also make a control "think" it is in a clean cycle. Maytag range model mer6750 - I tried to open the oven door too soon after a self cleaning cycle Now door won't open and fault code F9-2 appeared. What to do? THANK YOU

Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not in the door.
You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever handle also can cause this type of condition.

If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any self cleaning modes.

F9 Door Lock Warning Check door lock circuit or Replace Clock
F-2 Oven temperature sensed by electronic control Replace the clock/relay board.
Here is the part you need to order.

Mer6772bas ovens won't work, bottom oven won't open

F1-4 is a lower oven runaway clean error F9-3 is a lower oven door latch failure. Must be a bad door latch causing the errors.

The f2 display keeps showing and beepingwhen i push cancel door lock pops up and it stops for a minute but then starts again, i cant get the oven to come on while this is happening either

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Maytag, advanced cooking system , super capacity, error code f9

A model number would help, but an F-9 code is usually followed by a 1, 2 or 3.
F-9-1 is the board is not seeing the door lock
F-9-2 is the board not seeing the door unlock
F-9-3 is the board seeing both inputs and not knowing the condition of the door lock.

The problem is like caused by a failed switch in the door lock mechanism. This normally requires the replacement of the door lock assembly.

Range displays error code f9-5

HI. This indicates that there are serious issues that concern the operational value of the main control abord(ERC/Clock).

This will require you to replace the ERC, asap.

Digital readout blinks

Hello , I can help with this issue , When your display fades or flashes it is the first sign of your control board going out. The control powers your digital screen and they are very common to fail. If you have the model with the controls in the back top of unit against the wall it is basic to replace the board yourself , if you have the controls in the front of the unit it is more advanced to get into but is still possible. [controls meaning screen & burner knobs.]
A good place to order is sears parts. be sure to use your model off the oven its self. Please let meknow if you have anymore questions. Phil
