Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer
My washer (lg wm2277hw) quit working in the middle of a wash cycle and when I checked on it, it smelled like an electrical short very strong smell when I pulled out the soap dispenser and by the electrical panel. Couldn't smell any burning smell at the back of the machine. How do I take off the front panel to check?
At the very bad of the machine take out the phillips head screws which pass through an L shaped part (which is attached to the top) into the back of the washer. (the L part should stay with the top) Slide the top back about two inches and lift off. Remove dispenser drawer by pushing down on the center tab at the back of the dispenser drawer, then remove one screw behind dispenser drawer front and one screw at each upper corner of control from back side of control. Panel is still held by tabs across top. Be careful, as there are sharp areas here. Detach all electrical plugs from control, and it should be loose in your hands now.
