If you remove the front faceplate (does not void warranty) you there's a hole below eigther on the right or left depending on your model, where you can push in a paperclip and manually eject the dvd

Well, if you do send it back with a game, microsoft is really good at returning the game, so don't worrie about it.
now you shouldn't have to worry.
Opening the tray without power will require you to open the xbox.
hope this helps.

How to fix the "open tray" error on Xbox 360

When ever you have a problem with your Xbox 360 always do these steps first:
1. Turn off your Xbox 360
2. Unplug all of your cords
3. Plug your cords back in
4. Turn your Xbox 360 back on

1. Now with your Xbox 360 on open your tray.
2. Hold your tray open while you turn Xbox 360 off making sure it doesn't close.
3. Still making sure your tray doesn't close turn it back on.
4. Have fun!!!

If this does not work you will have to send it into microsoft to fix. If your warranty is up you will have to pay $150 to fix it. Otherwise it's free

My 360 won`t turn on and it is plugged in

press the reset button on the power brick, if that doesn't work your power button may be broken. Unless..... RROD!!! Then just send it on its way to Microsoft for a free replacement.

My xbox360 just stop preading everything it runs and works just won,t play any games.

If your Xbox 360 will not play your games this is because of the sensors on the back of the drive overheating it is not normally the laser.

Luckily you can fix this yourself and get back to your games and to do this you need the proven Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Or you can send it in and they will fix it for you the repair will take about 4 weeks.

You can use the recommended guide to fix this and get back to gaming.

As long as the heat stops getting to the drive you will be fine.

older models of the xbox 360's disc drive have been reported with this problem i myself have had this problem . when you send your system out for repair they dont fix your system and send it back they send you a refurbished system. many older models had this problem . i suggest either buying a new digital drive for your xbox 360 and install it yourself or send it back out to microsoft

I turn it on and it says play dvd when i put a game in ??

The truth is, that this can only be fixed by Microsoft ….( or by someone who has experience in replacing players or other components on 360).
You can keep pushing that game in and out for a while, but eventually, you’ll have enough of it and the player won’t play your disks at all.
There’s nothing you can do about your xbox; there’s no fix for that, except sending it to Microsoft and have the player of your 360 replaced.

Every time i put a game in my xbox it keeps saying play dvd until i take it out and put it back in for the millionth time. any suggestions?

One of the most common problems for the 360. You need to replace the CD-Rom drive or send it back and they'll fix it for free as long as your still under warranty. Sucks cause I've had 4 now and they've all done it.

Your laser/drive have gone bad. I would suggest contacting your local game stores to see if they do console repairs. If not then you would have to buy the drive/laser and install yourself, that or send it in to the dreaded Microsoft.
