Question about Canon PIXMA iP4000 InkJet Photo Printer
I am trying to print to a Canon Pixma IP4000, but am getting an error code 5100.
I cancel the print, turn it off and on and retry (as it suggests), but still the same error happens.
It is a carriage error.
Most times this is a serious error that requires a Canon tech to fix it.
Look at the carriage and see if there is something obstructing it's movement. If you recently had a paper jam, there may be some paper stuck in the path.
You should be able to move the carriage freely with the power off.
Let me know.
