Hp 5550 printer wont print picture it!

Hi I wonder if anyone can tell me why my printer distorts anything in picture it! publishing that has been imported and added to. I wanted to send a photo of my dog pulling a sleigh ( clip art) and copied 7 of the same dog picture to make it look like all the reindeer, then added a snowy background. Sad I know, but I have too much time on my hands!!. When I ask it to print, the picture is all wobbly and bits are in the wrong place.eg eyes in his tummy!! The picture prints ok an my in- laws printer. My printer works fine on photos and pictures that have not been composed. Please help me if you can. Thank you.

Duplex not recognised

You need to set the duplexer to installed. For Vista this would be done as follows: go to the Printers folder, Right Click on the 5550, Run as Administrator, Properties, (continue), Device Settings, Installable Options, Duplex unit (set to Installed), Apply, OK.

Once you have done this in Vista the duplexer will work but the back side may print upside down regardless of the settings. This can be corrected with a patch available here.

HP 5550 Laserjet prints dark

The only time I saw a color laser Printing darker than normal the issue was tranfer belt. The condition you describe matches the problem I was involved in and the tranfer kit fixed the problem.

The cartridges are "stuck" in place - won't move left or right - yellow lights is flashing

With the power off. Push the carriage to the left about 4". Power up the printer. It should go through its normal reset. When it's done making noise look in & see if it went back to the center?
Open Printer & Faxes. Your default printer should have a check nex to it. make sure it is the 5550. Click the 5550 once so it's highlighted. Click file & open. Clear anything that is waiting to be printed. Close all the opened windows. Re-start the Pc.
