It's quite easy.

Free download a tool named Bigasoft iPod Transfer, and copy all your media back.
Give it a try for free.

This is sharepod. it is an easy to use tool that you can use to copy music to and from your PC and ipod. It can be run from the ipod or pc, mnaking it portable. This would be easier than using recovery tools because some data may have been overwritten and unrecoverable. Best Of all Theprogram is free!

Please Disregard the recovery part... Just make sure iTunes HAS NOT erased and synced with your ipod. just use sharepod to copy it all over then add it to you library and, bam! You're done

How do I find all of my lost music?

Hi Hunter
You are using an Apple iPod? so all your music that you purchased from the iTunes store is still on your account in the iTunes store.
Use your computer to log into iTunes. Use your Apple ID & Password to look at your account and see your previous purchases.
In future always keep a copy of your music on your computer or USB Stick or External Hard Drive or CD or DVD.
Cheers

When i plug in my 120gb classic it shows it as a hard drive with nothing on it. It does not show it as an ipod

This is a setting in Itunes. Look for a check box in itunes that says something like "use ipod in hard drive mode." Simply uncheck this box and be on your way.

Music on apple 80 gig ipod

I honestly don't think you can. If the music isn't on your hard drive that is on your iPod then you WILL lose it if you sync it with the musicless iTunes. To my knowledge you have to re-download what's on your iPod (playlists and all) and if you add or subtract anything and sync that's what you'll have on your iPod.

I have a new computer and dont want to lose all my songs currently on my Ipod

probably not but you can look here, it is a free download and will enable you to export your ipod data into itunes, so you will not lose it. Then you can sync your ipod again once you have refreshed your library with new songs that you want

Lost music

How did you lose the music? If you lost it from your computer, I'm not sure if you'll be able to get it back. Otherwise, there should be a file labeled "Itunes music" on your computer somewhere. Just use the search option in "my computer" to locate it. Most of your music should be in there, if not all of it.

If your at a computer with itunes installed you could copy your friends music into the computer, then unplug your friends device, plug in yours, and copy the music into yours.

Noting should be removed

Need to import photos from my hard drive to my ipod.

I personally stay away from itunes as much as possible, you might try downloading winamp and see if it supports pictures.  I also recommend it for maintaining your music.
