I have a Phillips Plasma Tv 42pf532 and suddendly turns off

Check its power supply regulator section. Look for any bulged capacitors. Replace them if any. It will be best to replace the power supply board as card basis, rather than making 'surgery' to it; especially to Plasma TVs. Most of the spare part it have, will be very difficult to get from open electronic spare part market.
Contact the nearest authorised service center for Philips to buy a new board.

Power supply went out (at least I think thats what it is) on my Polaroid FLM-4034B 4-" HD TV, if I buy the new power supply, is it easy to install myself? Will I have to do any soldering? I am not any...

Hi Scott,
Replacing the power supply board is not quite technical, no soldering required. But before an attempt to do so, let stand the unit for 1 hour to drain the main filter electrolytic capacitor. Power supply board is where the power cord directly connected. Pull-out all the cables connected from the existing power supply board and then put in the new board, re-insert the connectors and ensure that it is properly seat-in.
Click this link for the replacement or obtain it from your local Polaroid Service Centers.
Hope I helped you.
Thanks for using Fixya.

How do i separate the top part from the bottom part of my laptop. I want to buy another motherboard, but I'm not sure I can do this stuff myself

I don't think you can, maybe you can separate it but how you sure that when you buy a new motherboard is working. Or maybe you can buy the exact design of motherboard is how you back back in. Even user manuals are not put to know how to disassemble the laptop. Only Certified Technician can do that my friend.
Just bring to your nearest HP Computer Center to let them provide all of it, at least you have warranty whatever problems occur again.
Hope this tip might help you.
Good luck!

This unit needs to be tested in a service center because it has problems with the operation of the video card. This could be caused by a loss of voltage supplying the video card from the power supply card. Or a failure on the video card itself. You can purchase parts for unit from Best Buy Parts at !-888-237-8289 and get customer service at 1-877-467-8289. You should get an estimate from the service center, That should tell you which parts are bad and then you can proceed from there. If the prices seem too high for parts and labor from the service center, try buying the parts yourself and have them install them for you. You should try to check the prices on the parts , just to make sure you are getting a fair deal. You can do this by getting the part numbers, you should ask the service center to provide the part numbers needed if they need to replace the power supply board or video board and with your model number of television check out the prices and availability at the Best Buy Parts website.Of course if the television is still under warranty send it in for warranty service. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Power supply replacment

You should be able to replace the power supply. It is usually held in place by 4-6 screws. Unplug the cables on the motherboard and drives. Reconnect the new ones and away you go. A generic supply will be fine if it is of the correct physical size. Bring the old one with you when you go to get the new one.
