Hi,
Surely it must be a power circuit problem. Some components has burnt or not working properly.Second step would be to find out which component not working and what would be the cause.

    Thanks

    Hi,
If the cause is minor it will not expensive.Require the estimate first to the repair man then after if you will approve then he will repair it.Therefore, Get the estimate to the repair man if will diagree from the charges a nominal amount would be pay as checking fee.Thats all about..
        Thanks

How can i purchase a new power cord for this model

Hello there,

My suggestion would be to go the nearest hardware store like Home Depot. Bring your portable DVD and let them check if they have a universal adapter or even an adapter for your DVD player.

Good luck!

Pictures taken from sony digital camera (6 Mega pixel) are not clearly seen on SONY DVP FX720. Is there any settings we need to do to get good quality?

change the format eg 640 x 480 to a higher resolution ...a good quality uses about 250kb per picture most jpegs use 50kb to save space
a really good picture can use 500kb.

Hi,

Initially, pls check if your portable DVD has an NTSC/PAL selector switch, option or feature. If yes, try selecting the other. Should this not be corrective, pls post the exact brand, model and your general location/region.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
