The only solution I have found was that you have to send it back to the supplier and they will do it.

I don't think you can. I believe the device needs to be reimaged. If anyone has found otherwise, I would like to hear.

Windows mobile password reset

Hi Sam,

Probably requires a re-install of the OS via SD Card.

Get the required files and hold 1 + 9 and click the red power button which will reset the device, then hold the left barcode scanner trigger to load bootloader and run the files from the SD Card.

Thanks
Jay

My work has given me an mc70. how do i connect to the internet? mcdonalds has free wifi in australia and would love to know how i could set it up so that i can log into the internet when i am at mcdonalds....

There are a few variants of the MC70.

MC7090 - the 9 defines the Wireless function.
MC7004 - the 4 defines the phone function.

Hence a MC7094 would have wireless and phone functionality. If you have a "9" version then you can use the free wifi. There would be a PCMCIA card symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the device. Click that and "find WLANS". Then connect to the one you want.

Hope this helps.

I have a t-mobile sim card, but my phone is htc touch pro. The phone works fine, the only problem is I can not send or recieve text messages. My question is does anyone have the MMS settings for the Unicel...

You need the T-Mobile settings if you are using a T-Mobile SIM. assuming you are in US as Unicel not over her in UK so the settings are:

T-Mobile GPRS settings (T-Mobile EDGE settings) T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE settings for terminals (e.g., phone handsets). Some items are possibly Nokia-specific. I have found the authentication type can be either Secure or Normal. These settings should be useful for T-MobileWeb users.
APN: wap.voicestream.com IP address: 216.155.165.050 Data bearer: GPRS Username: [none] Password: [none] Authentication type: Secure Connection security: Off
APN is the GPRS Access Point Name.
T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE modem settings T-Mobile GPRS/EDGE network settings when using a device as a GPRS "modem", that is, when "tethered" to another device. Examples include connection via Dial Up Networking (DUN) Bluetooth profile, or via Universal Serial Bus (USB). These settings should be useful for T-Mobile Internet users.
APN: internet2.voicestream.com Username: voicestream Password: [none] SMTP server: myemail.t-mobile.com
APN is the GPRS Access Point Name.

On my PDA MC70 it is showing WI-FI "unavailable"

This can get kind of complicated, and your wireless carrier may block this depending on the data plan. It's also different for the MC7095 (CDMA) and MC7094 (GSM/GPRS) models. You may also want to see if your device BSP release is up-to-date.

Here is some basic info for the MC7095 (Sprint):

Device was not connected to network to start.
Went to Start, Programs, Internet Sharing, tapped Connect, showed Status: Check USB connection. Internet Sharing drivers were installed on laptop computer, then device displayed Internet Sharing Status "Connected". We were able to browse the web on the laptop computer. Closed out of Internet Sharing (tap X on upper right hand corner). On device, tapped Start, Internet Explorer, attempted to browse to a webpage. Able to browse on both laptop computer and MC7095 device.

Note: Attempted to Disconnect the Internet Sharing session, unable to. The device does not appear to respond to the "Disconnect" option on bottom left of screen. When tapping "Disconnect" the option light up as if being tapped however the device itself shows no other changes and Status still displays :Connected.
***FYI*** In testing with a different MC7095 (BSP33) we experienced the same issues with not being able to "Disconnect" the Internet Sharing session.
