N95 Doesn't turn on, charge or get recognised by my pc
I have an original N95. Around July/August this year it decided it would begin to turn off randomly, someone suggested i put some paper in the back to help the battery be more secure. This worked for a week or so, but then the phone decided not to charge. so once the battery ran out, i no longer had access to the phone. I've only just started to try and fix it as i had an older phone that i started using, but i paid good money for this phone, and hate to see it wasted.
As the phone doesn't turn on, i can't connect it to the PC suite to update any software.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Nokia phones can be formatted with a special three-stroke keystroke sequence on power-up. When turning the phone on, press and hold all these three keys at the same time: "GREEN/TALK" ," 3" and " * " when powering up the phone. When formatting begins, release the keys. Ensure the battery is fully charged.

do not consult a technicition i have had this problem and solved it for my friend, you were trying to update your n95 firmware using nokia software updater then it said please unplug and remove battery you should never touch a mobile during an update... anyway to fix it your n95 thinks its still in a middle of the update so charge your phone for 10 minutes (DONT TURN ON) then connect up to the computer via usb to your n95 then open up software updater and press start update it it says could not find deivce keep retrying it took me 20 minutes but could last up to 1 hour then it willl recognise the phone and continue update and turn itself back on only problem is that your phone will be reset but you still keep your memory card data
post back asap dale goodwin
(1) You're using the same battery that was Bundled with the Phone (Genuine One). (2) You're using the same Charger that was bundled with the Phone (Genuine One). (3) You're inserting the Charger Pin in the Phone's Charger Socket properly.
If the above ones don't work, please contact NOKIA CARE with Original Purchase Bill.
ur wrong in my n95 china mms and gprs are working properly i know its not the original one but its quite ok for me. you can even connect it to your dvd player with usb and play all the multimedia you can put on its external flash memory you can upgrade up to 8gb mem.
Try removing the battery from the phone overnight. Then put the battery back the next day and try turning the phone on. If it doesn't turn on then either the battery is defective, fully discharged or the phone is damaged. I would really recommend trying the battery in another phone and trying another battery in the original K800 to isolate the problem. Good luck!
