Hello Sean Lin,

The only option for the 5th pc would be to get it wirelessly connected. You need to install a wireless adapter to your pc. Set the IP & DNS to automatically obtained from router.

You also try to adjust or temporarily disable the your firewall and other securities;
Disabling Windows Firewall

Note: A firewall is designed to help protect your computer from attack by malicious users or software. Such software includes viruses that use unsolicited incoming network traffic that infects your computer. Before you disable your firewall, you must disconnect your computer from all networks, including the Internet. To disable your Windows firewall, please follow these steps:

Disable Internet Connection Firewall in Windows XP or Windows XP SP1

1. In the Control Panel, double click Network and Internet Connections. Then, click on Network Connections icon.
2. Right click on Local Area Network (LAN) Connection on which you want to disable the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF), and then click on Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, you will see protect my computer or network check dialogue. Then, click on the Settings tab.
4. Click on OFF then OK.

Disable Windows Firewall in Windows XP SP2

1. Please click on Start, then click Run. Then, type in firewall.cpl and then click OK.
2. On the General tab, click OFF (not recommended) and then click OK.
I hope this troubleshooting steps will help..if not please notify me

Reset the router and make sure all cables are plug-in then see activity on the light. If you don't get WAN light then contact your ISP to verify the account info.

JUST TRY Resetting YOU ROUTER

  • Locate , on the back of your router, the small button that reads Reset
  • Press, and hold, the Reset button down for 30 seconds.
  • Wait for your Power, WLAN and Internet light to turn on. (On the router)

When i try to use the internet on my stuff it does not work

If all of your stuff has been working fine until now, try unplugging the router for a few mintues and then plugging it back in. Then restart each of your devices. If you've already done all of this, then it is possible your router has died.

I have a arris tm502g modem and a wireless g router I can't connect to the internet. It show that I am connected but the web page will not display, I notice that my link light is not on what can I do to...

First check all your connections. Reset your internet modem. Unplug and restart your router. Restart your computer system. If you still have a problem, reset your router. There is a small button the back that can be held in with a pin for 20 seconds.

If you stll have a problem, then ope internet explorer, go to Tools, Manage Addons and disable all the addons. Restart explorer. If this works, add each add on and retry. This should isolate the culprit.

Last scenario - you have a bad router. try connecting your computer system direct from modem to computer. If it works fine - you have a problem router - replace it.

Wireless light not on on router cant get internet downstairs on notepad

Unplug the router, restart computer. Wait 30 seconds and plug router in. Try to access it again. If it still doesn't work and it is DSL, check your phone line and listen for static. If there is no static, it should be working.

Wireless Internet stopped working. Can't reconnect.

If restarting the router and restarting computer did not work (unplug both power cables), then you need to log into the router and check network settings.

To log into router type the router IP on internet explore bar, then enter user id and password.
You find details on how to do this, IP and passwords listed on the owner manual.

If wireless security settings on router are fine, then you can reset router to factory default using the pinhole switch. You will need to enter all your broadband settings to have the router working afterward.

Belkins router not connecting to cable modem

You need to start from beginning. Clear all temp internet files and run this programme Start>Run ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. Get into the routers settings(probably 192.168.2.1) and ensure in the Lan settings that 'DHCP Server' is on and wireless is enabled.(you might need to be connected by RJ45 lan cable first) If it's a 125mbps router change settings to 54mbps to try that speed first(especially as your wireless cards will be 54 mbps) look in Mac address Filtering is off. Look in the DHCP Client list and see if your pc's were allocated ip addresses, if so it should allow an internet connection. Go to both your pc's wireless cards properties and under TCP/IP properties ensure obtain ip address automatically is checked. Restart both pc's and the router, disconnect cable and try wirelessly
