I recently purchased and installed the MMV1153BAW microwave. After cooking for about four minutes, it shuts down completely. It has never cooked for more than four minutes without shutting down. After ten or fifteen minutes it can usually be turned on again.
Your magnetron is overheating and tripping the thermostat, which interrupts power until it cools.
Since
it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty.
I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

I am having this same problem, but mine was purchased 2 yrs ago and was recently installed (in March to be exact). What should or can I do to fix this problem?
Whenever I cook something that produces steam, the thing kicks out. Sometimes, I can avert it by running the vent fan on high during cooking, then leaving it on afterwards with the door open. Why should anyone have to do this?
Can the magnetron be replaced cheaper than purchasing a new microwave?
