Not knowing the make of your phone or your carrier I can only suggest a fix. Distance from a cell tower can cause a weak signal, also obstructions between you and the cell tower can cut your reception. I would suggest you get hold of your carrier and have them ping your phone to check reception. Does your phone work better at different locations? Most cell services will work with you to determine your problem. Hope this helps. Feel free to email again. Viking.
Your cell phone gets its signals from cell towers serving your cell phone service provider, e.g. Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile.
If you are in a building or elevator, your signal can be weak. Try going to the edge / side / top of a building, like by a glass window to see if the signal is stronger. Or if your cell phone service provider (phone company) doesn't have a cell tower close to where you are, the signal can be weak or nil. You can find out your cell phone company's cell tower coverage areas ...by checking their website. If you are at locations where your cell phone service provider has good coverage, you will get stronger signals. Otherwise, expect to get weak signals. Yes, it's always prudent to check which cell phone service provider has good cell (tower) coverage in areas where you are (using your cell phone) most of the time, and subscribe to that company's cell phone service.
The iPhone 4 has a well-documented issue regarding its antenna case
design that could cause someone to drop a call if they hold the iPhone
in a certain way. This problem lies in the design of the phone's
hardware, and can not be fixed with any software updates or new parts.
There are two solutions to this problem; you may:
follow Apple's advice, and not hold the phone in such a way that alters the reception, or
put a cover on your iPhone.
Dirty antenna grounds
your iPhone has been disassembled before, it's possible that finger
oils were left on the grounding locations for the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth
antennas. These oils will cause grounding issues for the antennas, which
could lead to a weak signal or no connectivity at all. Be sure to clean
all grounding points with an electronics cleaning solution before
reassembling your iPhone to prevent grounding issues. God bless you
There are many factor that could contribute to this problem. Try these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
#1 - Turn the phone off and on again. #2 - If you are using a "3G", "4G", or "LTE" capable phone, you usual have the option of disabling that connectivity and using slower cellular connections. Go into the options on your device and disable 3G/4G/LTE. #3 - Insure proper reception. If you are in an area of poor reception, your phone's attempts to communicate with the internet will often be interrupted. #4 - Insure you phone has a sufficient charge. Weak batteries can cause many issues. #5 - Check for connectivity issues VS device issues. If you're phone supports WiFi, try using it to view a web page. If this works, while the cellular network does not, then contact your provider. This can indicate a damaged device, a phone plan that does not provide the features you desire, or even reception problems.
It is possible that the phone has dropped in its reception due to some issues in the antennae section. If you are able to work when you are out of the house then it is for sure that the low reception of the nearest tower is down. First of all check with your service provider if the tower is having an issue some times it may be operating in less power- a possible down condition. IF not check your SIM with another phone, if the signals look ggood then you may need to open your set to check if there is any traces of moisture , break or coneecction loss in the antennae output section. Look carefully clean and set back. If not the phone network IC may be defective/weak. Hope this works out. Good day
its the battery problem in your device.just remove the battery from your device for some minutes and clean the internal area where the battery is fitted and also clean the battery with a dry tissue paper.and reinsert the battery and check out.if it still gives the same problem .then its necessary to replace the battery.as this problem which you r facing happens due to weak battery.and battery goes weak if the mobile is overcharged for more then required time.the battery goes weak slowly ---slowly.and this happens.
Call your cell phone provider and they may make a satelite adjustment for the areas you state that are weak.(see if they tell you that your the first one to tell them this about the weak signal) If they cant help ,get a better phone that will get the signal you need. Please Rate This !!!!!
