Question about Lenovo Verizon Wireless V620 Wireless WAN Card (40Y9137)
I just got a Lenovo x301 last week and Im likin it a lot. I am however having a few problems with the Verizon wireless wan on this machine. When I am connected to wireless internet, the wireless card keeps shutting off every few minutes (even though it says I’m connected) and I have to restart it myself using Fn+F5 or uninstall the card and let windows reinstall and then I’m good for about 2 minutes. I can connect through wifi but not Verizon????
I downloaded the latest drivers for the wireless card and access connections, but I am still having the same problem. Does anyone have any possible solutions to this issue?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You need to get the wireless authentication details from the library's front desk to configure your wireless connection. They should be able to help you.

Checkout the solution at:
Remove ReadyComm. see steps at:
My driver did not uninstall cleanly. I had to restart and do the uninstall again. And then the next reboot, the wireless driver got added automatically.
I tried this, but that didnt fix it all
Sometimes the wireless switch is off (Fn+F5) when you reboot the system (not the physical one).
Some people have suggested that you need to disable WEP encryption. Thats not necessary.
Mine works fine now, but it is frustrating (I have DSL and had issues connecting to the router too. try gateway.2wire.net). if that doesnt work try gateway.2wire.net/setup

I had to find the network adaptor in control panel then right click and Enable it. For some reason it was disabled. That's why it wouldn't power on.

Be sure your wireless switch is on. Then check your device manager. If it has yellow mark under network adapters, then you need to download driver for that. Click here to download driver. If that won't still work, try uninstalling Lenovo Readycomm from the list of your programs in Control panel. If that still doesn't work, contact your service provider to configure the wireless settings of your pc and router.
