I had trouble too until I realized that the print cartridges, which were supposed to move over to the left when you lift the covers, was not moving. So I had to drag it over by hand from the right to left and then I saw the old ones and could replace them.

Hi

Some ink printer had ink resetter and just go to ink set up.
If your printer have ink resetter, do it otherwise it will not recognized new ink installed.

If not, some new ink cartridge when the tape is remove, there are cases that the sticky leaf on the ink cartridge, just rinse it with warm water or alcohol to detect the ink cartridge. Turn off your printer and your computer. Then return the ink and open your printer and computer to print again.

Note : Use only ink that is compatible with your printer because it you use other cartridge it will damage the chip set of your printer and it will not recognized any cartridge at all. SO beware.

I hope it helps you.

Cartige is not installed properly

Hello.

Be certain that the # cartridge is the correct one for your printer. Examine the cartridge to see if the protective tape has been removed. And, remove and reinsert the cartridge so that it snaps in place.

Hope this helps.

  2. Click Utilities .
  3. Click View ink levels .
    • If a cartridge is low on ink, discontinue these steps, replace the cartridge, and then try printing again.
    • If the cartridges contain a sufficient amount of ink, continue to the next step.
  4. Click Printer Maintenance .
  5. Click Clean Cartridges .
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
ISSUE: After installing a new HP Inkjet print cartridge, the ink level indicator remains at the previous level. SOLUTION: Continue to print and ignore the ink level indicator. The print cartridge is full of ink, it just is not being measured accurately.

Replacing An Ink Cartridge Use the following procedure to replace empty ink cartridges or when an ink cartridge error appears.
  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on
  2. Lift the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) with both hands, and pull the Scanning Unit Support down into place (A).
Note: After confirming that the scanning unit support is fixed into position, release your hands.

3. Press down on the semi-circular tab located on the top of the cartridge to release the cartridge and then remove it.

Note: Handle the ink cartridges carefully to avoid staining clothes and surrounding work area.

4. Remove and replace each cartridge individually. Or, remove the second cartridge after the first has been removed.
5. Take out a new cartridge from its casing and gently remove the orange protective tape in the direction of the arrow.

Note: - Do not attempt to reattach the protective tape once you have removed it.
- Do not touch the gold electrical contacts or the print head nozzles after removing the protective tape.

6. Insert the ink cartridge into the ink cartridge holder.- Black: the left slot- Color: the right slot**One black cartridge and one color cartridge must be installed in the machine in order for the printer to operate. It does not matter if the capacities (Standard or High) do not match.
7. Push up on the front of the cartridge until it locks into place. (A click sound will be heard when the cartridge is locked in place.)

8. Confirm that the ink cartridges are installed properly.

Epsom stylus CX4700 won't print - new ink cartridges installed

They cut costs on Epson compatible cartridges by using low quality ink and chips or not resetting the chips at all. Sounds like you got cartridges that the chips were not reset on so your printer thinks all the cartridges are empty. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I would never recommend purchasing compatible Epson cartridges from anyone. I would buy refills of Epson brand cartridges and make sure the seller reset the chips.

If you have installed an ink cartridge without removing the yellow tape, take the cartridge out of the product remove the yellow tape, and then reinstall it.

Do not remove the transparent seal from the bottom of the cartridge or the label on the cartridge; otherwise the cartridge may become unusable or ink will leak.

Place the ink cartridge into the cartridge holder with the bottom down. Then push down the ink cartridge until it clicks into place.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each ink cartridge.

  • Close the ink cartridge cover and press it until it clicks into place

If you find it difficult to close the cartridge cover, make sure all the cartridges are firmly seated. Press down on each cartridge until you hear it click into place. Do not attempt to force the cover closed.

    1. Close the printer cover and press the ink or start button to begin charging the system. Charging can take up to three minutes and is complete when the power light stops flashing.
