I restored my computer's HD using LaCie. Now, my Macbook won't boot us using it's own HD, just LaCie
Hi SuzanneHow did you do the install? It's important that you do the correct procedure. First you should have installed the OS from the disc thaty came with your MacBook. It would have then asked you how you wanted to procede. One of the options is to restore from a back-up or from another drive.
You pick the Lacie and let it do iots stuff. As a rule, when that finishes the machine restarts from the new drive.
What you can do to check is shut the machine down. Hold down the Option key (alt key) and then press the power button to start it up again - don't let go of the option key. After one or two moments you will get a grey screen with a two icons. One will be your HD and the other will be the LaCie. You then choose which onwe to start from and that should be that. If you only get the Lacie showing up then it measn that you do not have a system on the internal HD and that it needs to be restored from the CD/DVD.
Let us know what happens.
