MP140 do not recognize cartrige

I think you will use refillable cartrige. In this situation canon display the above massage. To get rid from this problem try to this proces that are given bellow:
1. Uninstall cartrige from the cartrige carier
2. Wep the connector with soft tissue both carier and cartrige
3. Install it again.

try to chack the control panel of your Pc, den uninstall the Printer, then install it again, there may be a huge conflict about it

this is a common problem with refilled or remanufactured cartridges. I would recommend sticking to official cartridges.

You can test this solution by buying a new cartridge to replace the one you refilled and you will see that the cartridge is recognized and works fine.

If you can see ink in the window, just unplug machine and plug in while holding the stop button. Sometimes errors are just held and not reset, so that plugging in power while holding the stop button will clear them.

You can only refill those cartridges if you do it before the ink is empty. After that you need a new cartridge or a chip resetter to reset the chip on the cartridge so it will work again.

You have probably purchased refilled cartridges. Try to replace with genuine ink cartridges will solve out your problem.

If Ink cartridge Unrecognizable, there are two posibilities : Chip Error at ink tank, or printer error. For chip error, try to plug the ink tank to another printer (same type). If the ink tank recognized by other printer, so the problem is printer.

1. Check chip conector at head carriage.
2. Check the wiring of the head, and chip.
If two point above is ok, the last action is check the power supply and board. It may be epprom is damage.
