Question about Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera
I have a Canon Powershot A95 that is two years old. A month ago some photos started to have a pink tint on objects that are white, off-white, or light-colored (such as my skin or a wall). Sometimes it's just one object, sometimes it doesn't happen, and sometimes the entire image is distorted with pink or completely obliterated by the pink tones. The outdoors on a cloudy day is especially bad. I tried resetting to the default settings and don't have a custom white balance. It happens less if the flash is manually turned off, but then the photos are blurry. Red-eye off makes it worse.
This sounds like a budding CCD problem that Canon is aware of. Canon is replacing the defective CCD at no charge.
