If ur machine have additives cycle, check whether the solenoid valve (for opening water inlet to the additives' tray) is working or not. You can check this by listening to the sound of water during additive cycle. If it is not working, you have to replace the water inlet valve unit.
Rince the lint trap off with hot water , when you do and water beads up on the surface, wax has built up on the screen from the softener and has pluged the screen, rince till water flows through freely, if this dos'nt work check the outlet and tube for lint buidup
running empty or full makes no difference.
problem may be not draining
to test this, put some water in appliance from a jug then start the cycle. (first action is to drain) see if water disappears. get back to me if you wish
