How to charge hp mini without charger

You need a college degree and then join the military or go to a military college like the USAF Academy. They will put you through all the pilot training.

I would think the battery is defective.

It sounds like you have a bad battery charger, but it could also be slightly corroded battery contacts. Make sure the contacts on the battery and inside the computer are clean (you can use a qtip and alcohol, or a pencil eraser). You will have to measure or have someone measure the output of the charger, to make sure it's putting out a good charging voltage. You can use a voltmeter to do that.
If you can run it by Best Buy, they can check to see if the charger is good. There's also a possibility that the battery has gone bad, and in that case, they may not hold a charge.

I had my charger fail on me as well, I have a hp mini 210-1000. Before I threw the old charger out, I read the label on it carefully and found a replacement part. The label actually read "hp part number xxxxxx - REPLACE with part number xxxxxx." I simply searched for that part number on ebay and was able to get a reliable replacement. You probably don't have the old charger anymore. If you bought a universal charger to replace your old charger, then that could be the problem. Sometimes off the market universal chargers don't work so well in the long run. To find your charger, find out the exact model of your mini. google "ac adapter for hp mini [model number]. Once you get a part number, search for that part number on ebay. My replacement charger cost me only 16 dollars, with free shipping.

Mine does the same thing, but i play with the female part of the charger ( the slot inside the phone ) BAM it starts working again. Its just a really poor job on the charger part its really cheap.

Have you checked your battery? perhaps, you need to change also the battery. Try to remove the battery then connect the AC adapter to your laptop using direct power without the battery. Just to see where is the error.

If still the same, I suggest that you bring your laptop to a service center to check the battery and the charger that you bought.
