Picture erasing problem

My camera has a picture that is being protected and i cannot have it erase, how do I get off the protection mode

How do I erase "protected"


Unprotect them first. While viewing the picture, press [MENU] and select "Protect". Full details are in the "Protecting images" section of the manual (page 100 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

'olympus stylus 710.When i try to take pictures or erase them it would say write protect or picture error how to i qet it off


Look at your memory card it may have a small switch to protect pictures from being erased or changed. Download what you have taken and reformat card.

You will need to first unprotect the image and then you can delete it.

Protective card when trying to take picture-


If you are using an SD card for the memory, there is a small, locking switch on the side of it. Slide it in the opposite direction to where it is now, and you should be able to shoot and erase again.

How to take protection off of pictures on camera so I can cancel.

You should do the same process like above to unprotect the images. Trying to delete is wrong.

Write protect.


go to menu and find whether sttings is kept in protect pictures , set it to default and try again.

Picture lock


Protected pictures cannot be erased using [ERASE],
[SEL. IMAGE] or [ALL ERASE], but they are all erased by
formatting.
• Go to Playback mode in the camera. Select the picture to be unlocked with the left or right arrow buttons, and to remove the protection select OFF with the up or down arrow button.

Micro sd card says write protect when inserted what does that mean


Hi , means you connot delete the picture , the only remedy to erase the write protect to format the micro sd , for the next time dont click to write protect .
