Hotpoint WT960 - Led's not working

Hi there

The LED's that light up the LCD panel have been flashing for weeks and have now almost stopped working at all. This must be a design flaw and the vibrations of the machine have broken/loosened the connection to power the LED's

Can the darkened cover for the LCD be removed allowing light to hit the panel so we can see to program the unit? Is there easy access to the panel harness so we can test of this has come loose?

Up to now we have been using a torch to just about see what we are doing. Any help would be gratefully recieved

I have the same problem I think. The blue lights that light up the panel have been flashing for weeks but I can still make out what is displayed if I look close. Have you got a solution yet ?

Its most likely built into the tub and you don't need to access it.Under the agitator is usually the place on the tub they would put a filter

SOURCE: hotpoint aquarius wt540 wont pump out water

Hiya Barry, I have the same machine and for the last 3 days have had the exact same problem...mini load and reduced crease as well as power light flash right when it comes to drain...?

I have scratched my head and done lots and lots of research, reckon I could design and build my own washer now lol, anyway, I fitted a new pump and ran it, thinking this is it sorted, went out and got a call from our lass...doing it again.

Right, gonna have to get me hands dirty...I removed the drain hose (Ignore the pump for a second, I'm talking about the grey hose that goes from the pump to the sink) from the sink and poked my fingers as far as they would go...debris, I then removed it from the other end (Pump) so I had a long hose in my hands, not attached to anything at either end....cleared it and again, loads of debris (Fluff, plastic etc) and put it all back together...turned the old fella back on and running a wash right now as we speak...happily spinning round at 1400rpm and throwing gallons of water down the sink...I would consider it fixed.

So I can most definately tell you that you have a blockage somewhere mate, I'd get your hands in the toolbox and pull that pipe off, doesn't require any level of experience, just the ability to put things back as you found them...

Hope that helps

Hi, I have experienced this problem on several hotpoint machines with led display's. There is really only one solution for it! If there are no wires hanging off then the answer is in the board, And you will need to replace it. It is a non servicable part and cost around £40.00+++.
Good luck.....

Unplug it for a couple minutes. Try it again. If still not coming on, it's new you say? DON'T mess with it. Return it or call the place you bought if from. It's under warranty......That's the good news.

LG LCD TV Standby Light Flashing Red Continuously

I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.
