Re: Riso CR1610EP Drum stuck
While the drum is partially out,try to turn the drum back in home possition-turn it until you hear the click sound. If you cant reach it from he front open the master making unit and turn the drum there until it reach home possition-Note-use cloves not to get you hands full of ink or cut by one of the plates, make sure the machine is switch off.

Assuming that it is still in the locked position. Open the top and observe the position of the drum. Rotate the drum the normally locked position. i.e. The master clamp on the drum is in about the 2 O'clock position. Put in test mode, enter 556 and push start. That may release the drum. PrntNow.com
We had the same problem in that once master was done, it did not print. We tried this solution.
Machine must be off. Top right hand corner the and - buttons with arrows on (to align your print either left or right) press these down simultaneously. While holding them switch machine on.
A number 203 will appear on your screen.
Release hold on buttons Press 101 on number board you will hear machine inking master. Allow it to run until complete.
Hope this helps.
D04-534 means incorrect ink cartridge set. This could be caused either
a) it IS the incorrect ink cartridge, or b) the RF tag that is struck to
the end of the ink bottle is damaged. Try a new ink bottle. Make
sure to use RISO ink designed and made specific for an RZ230.
assuming you have a RN machine
you should of removed the master on the drum by hand if it was not used for more than a couple of weeks, and wipe dry under the clamp.
To get the drum out, hinge up the top of the machine over the top of the drum there is another small door, it hinges up like the top of the machine.
At this point ensure that the drum is in the home position i.e the clamp of the drum is at 12:00 (on top). if not turn drum to that point by hand.
Then try the button again to release the drum. If that fails there is a small **** under the drum at the front door area. there is a catch there that holds in the drum which you can move to the side with a flat screw driver.
I have the same problem and can only fix it when I am in the print que and I go to the layout and choose the "page size" a second time after going in the "properties" a second time. For some reason sometimes it does not recognize the page sizes. Let me know if this works for you.
look at the back of the machine.. you will see approximately how the drum goes in.. release the drum and push it in gently.. if you remove the disposal box you will be able to see the drum.. try to slowly and gently turn the drum while lightly pushing it into the machine until it goes back in.. this may take some time and several tries for the timing on this is very precise!...... good luck!
I had this problem too: just unlock the hook under the drum; disengage the drum then pull out the drum; then check the home position if not in position open the behind cover, pull the belt until you get the puller to the home position. You will get the same problem if you will not put the main drum puller to the home position. email@example.com
