Hi sir my dell monitor always keeps "Auto adjust in progress" popping out..how can i rid of this problem because it bothering me. thanks alot

sounds like its trying to adjust to the correct depth and colour if there is a problem with your graphics card it will not relay the correct configuration and visa versa with your monitor. if possible use a different monitor and try it if it works perfectly then the chances are the monitor is faulty if its the same problem then there is a problem with your graphics card.

Video driver is not installed

The computer should run under default VGA drivers (basic colours, 640 x 480 resolution) you should find and remove any Nvidia software then go to www.nvidia.com and download new drivers, install them restart the computer and then set things like screen resolution, colour depth extended monitor etc.
Good luck.

I have had my Acer One netbook for almost 5 months and during that time my screen has played up twice. It loses the definition and the colour is all over the place. The first time it went, it corrected...

Right click Desktop click Properties
Check that the resolution is on your normal setting and Colour Depth is set to 32bit
It might be worth checking you have the latest drivers for your graphics card

You can download Driver Genius Free Trial it will tell you what drivers you need for your Graphics
Then you can google them and download them

I think though what you are describing might be the ribbon cable attaching your screen to the laptop, this ribbon cable passes through the hinge of the laptop and sometimes constant moving of the screen up and down can damage the ribbon wire if it is not placed properly.

Goodluck

Band of darker good quality colour at top quarter of screen - below lighter colour and poor quality text

Try having your colour depth at 32 bit, right click on your desktop and goto graphics properties and select 32 bit instead of 16bit

My lcd monitor colour bit deacrease from 32-bit into 3-bit. This make my grapich looking very bad.

I believe your graphics card is deteriorated, it needs to be replaced. You have no other good option. It is cheap
and it doesn't cost you much. You don't have to suffer
bad graphics.

Changing colour depth

I think you are using the minimal Microsoft video drivers for your video card. Install true ATI/AMD video drivers for that card and you should get a world of better video out of that card. Go to; http://ati.amd.com to get the latest drivers.

Computer monitor goes blank after initial start-up reaches the desktop

Try setting your graphics card output to something simpler like a basic 640x480 resolution 64k colours and see if it still does it... it maybe that you have the resolution/colour depth to high for the monitor to properly handle

if it is stable at the lower setting slowly increase untill you reach a point that you and your monitor are both happy

Hi,
Whats the Operating System? XP? Have you downloaded & installed an updated driver? Sometimes the software driver corrupts & you should install the newest version from the website.

If you can get an external monitor, plug it into the external monitor port.. (most laptops have one) There will be a keyboard combination to switch between your laptop screen & the external monitor. This will help diagnose the fault. What is the results of the above? Rgds,
