Extra caracters on Zebra S4m

We have 25 zebra printers installed on our company. I have the same problem on all printers. For example: I print one label and somewere in the printer layout it is number 100, the second label have the same layout whit only difference that instead of 100 i want to print 50. The exit label is whit 150. This 1 in front remain. After i restart the printer ( only the printer) and i reprint the same job i have 50 on the label. In principle i have the same layout for labels. If the second label have less caracters ( words, numbers ) the printer prints old caracters untill i restart the printer. I try 3 defferent driver, different printer settings. What can i do more?
Thank You .

The 100 is not represent the page number. There are only 2 labels. 100 is a numbere like 1230. The problem is like that: let say i print a text "blabla" , and to the second label i want to print "labla" ( whithout b in front ) ,but the label that is printing is whit b in front "blabla" . I check in the file and the word is ok. I restart the printer and i print again the same file and is printing "labla".

I use a parallel port ( LP ). The thing is that until now i use Epson printers and i dont have this problem. Today i will try whit a different version of Windows. Maybe is the printer spoiler from windows. I don't know ! But i have to diminish the possibilities.

the problem was solved: it was from "muster label" . In the program code i miss two empty line:

    The original program was:

    " N

    A100,40,0,2,2,3,N,"L-Ident : #ident"

    A100,90, ........ "

And the present program code is:

    "

    N

    A100,40,0,2,2,3,n,"L-Ident : #ident"

    A100,.... "

The problem was that i miss a return before and after N. N is for clear the image Buffer and the first return is activates command processing.

    Thank you for support! :)

Since it happens with all your printers ,this tells me that it is not a printer problem.
SO....
Lets look at the application..
The first label sees it as PAGE 100 and if you print 50 it should count up to 150.
look at the application and edit it to turn off page numbering .

    Ok !

Sorry I miss read the numbering problem.

But it still boils down to it is not a printer problem but an app or network problem.

How are these printers hooked up??

(which connection on the back of the printer are you using?

I HAVE SEEN SOMETHING SIMALAR TO THIS HERE AT HOPKINS ..

    TRY THIS.

    1) DELETE THE DRIVERS FROM THE SYSTEM WHERE THE DRIVERS RESIDE.

    2) SHUT DOWN THAT PIECE(THIS ALLOWS THE MEMORY TO CLEAR).

    3) REBOOT AND REINSTALL THE ZEBRA DRIVERS.(FROM THE CD PREFABLY)

I KNOW THIS IS EXTREEM BUT TRY THIS

Is it possible to import data from excel into the labelprinter Zebra S4M?

You can print a text from XL, but you owuld have to use a page set up that is the same as the label size, through a Zebra or Seagull driver.

Hi I am unable to print from Zebra S4M.. while printing the configuration it prints but does not print the test page or the label.

There a number of things that can cause that: 1) wrong printer driver was installed 2) cable to printer is faulty 3) wrong port was selected when the printer driver was installed
Check these and let me know!

Do you know the print speed that you are using? I would slow it down to about 7 ips and adjust the Darkness until you are happy. Some companies want all this speed and the machine cannot do a good job at high speeds (10 ips). If you are not able to over-ride their speed, call them. It will increase your print quality a great deal.
The print speed is the second setting on the menu. Don't forget to save the settings when you are finished (use "Permanent"). Good luck!

Zebra S4M Printer doesn't print

The fact that the Data message is displayed, means it is 'seeing' something. You may be losing the command character at the beginning that would cause the machine to ignore the rest of your code. If this is the first time you have attempted to use the serial port, you may have a setting incorrectly set. You need to match your Host exactly or the data may be framed incorrectly. The old standard was to send your data 8 bits, 1 stop-bit and no parity. Try Xon-Xoff with hardware handshaking too. I hope this helps.

S4M doesn´t print

The S4M comes with either EPL or ZPL programming language installed. (installed at factory) The S600 is a ZPL only printer. Check that you have correctly specified the S4M as a ZPL printer. Print a config label to check. If it is set as an EPL printer contact your supplier and ask him to download the correct programming language. It should only take a competent engineer about ten minutes (If he knows what he is doing)
