Hi there.
you need to change the first boot device in the "cmos setup" or when you boot your computer before it gets to that stage watch the lower bottom line of your machine there are some instructions to go to the cmos setup Toshiba is either F9 or F12. alternatively at this same stage choose the instruction temporary boot device and and move the highlighting to CD/DVD/DVR and click enter to start the computer from the cd rom
it will work.
thanks

How do i fix it?

Your hard drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it. The obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player. Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB... Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE FOUND,

You probably have a mbr virus.

Download The following iso listed below. It is the latest version of the Kaspersky rescue disk. You need to burn it to a CD with a program like Imgburn (Which is also FREE like the iso file). Then you need to boot from the CD and run the scanner. It should fix you right up.

Pxe-e61 media test failure check cable

The PXE error message suggests that your computer is trying to perform a network boot which is why it is saying there is a cable issue.
Check your BIOS settings and disable the option to boot from the Network, plus check that the computer is configured to boot from a valid internal hard disk drive. It is Ok to have a CD or USB device listed ahead of the hard drive in the Boot order as this is normal to allow booting from CD or DVD media or USB devices.
Check that internal hard disk is operational, that the cables to it are firmly connected at both ends (the drive and the motherboard).
If you still have a problem, then provide more information on what symptoms or error messages your are seeing.

When I turn the computer on, I get the following message: PXE-E61 media test failure, check cable PXE-M0F exiting intel boot agent Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected...

This happens when the BIOS can't find the hard disk. If you're lucky it's just the hard disk that has failed, if you're not it's the motherboard itself the one that failed.
To find out which replace the hard disk with a good one then try to boot in th BIOS - if you can it's the hard disk, if you can't it's the motherboard.

Acer Aspire X3200 - VIRUS - Won't boot or re-install

it seems like the HDD is not getting recognised , try this might help you get into BIOS setup by tapping delete key or f2 when system turns on , load the defaults settings for bios then try loading OS , if you are getting the same error message that means hdd has gone bad or the cable to the hdd is loose

Boot Problems

Hi,

PXE means it will only boot while connected to the network,

You need to change the bois From network boot to Hard drive boot.

The system doesn't see a hard drive inside,

it thinks it is booting from the network only,

it boots to a server like this.

It is called a dumb terminal

Well the disk you connect is blank hence the black screen you get. You need to install the Operating System (Windows, Linux) etc. first and a Windows CD/DVD will serve as a system disk. Put the CD or DVD in and start the computer. You will see a message "Hit any key to boot from the CD", hit a key and you will get into Windows configuration.
If you dont have a Windows CD or the original CD that came with the laptop, there is nothing much you can do. You will need to purchase one and go from there (unless you decide to switch to Linux, then you can download it for free and burn on a CD - Take a look at Ubuntu, it is a very "Windows user friendly" Linux distribution...
