Are you referring to wanting to use the number pad with the off color keytop numerals?

Hi,

We can solve this for you.
1.) Do you notice the Fn key in the first row, the same row where the spacebar is located?
2.) What color is the writing on the Fn key?
3.) On the bottom of your Dell Laptop is a label that contains a model name. Would you look at that model name, the one underneath, and send that to me? Also on the bottom is your Service Tag, would you also post that?

Thanks.

You can respond to this by writing in the Comment Text Box below these posts on this page. You do not need to use the Ask Me button. The Ask Me button is supposed to send me an alert that someone has sent a request to me. But this function is still buggy. FixYa.com is still pretty new as a web site.

When you use the Comment Box, I get an email alert right away.

Regards,
Worldvet

I accidently plugged in my Dell Inspiron 518 into a 220 v outlet without switching over the red tab on the power supply. I heard a loud boom and smelled smoke. I've since replaced the power supply,...

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your motherboard may have been fried. The power surge was probably too much for it to handle, especially considering this isn't a custom build, so the parts inside of it are cheaper. Contact Dell Support and see if there is anything that they can do for you.

I have a Casio PCR-T275, but the printer does not work well. The receipt just printed out half as it supposed be! Can u give me a hand on what to do? My email address is yunyun.c@hotmail.com

This is the standard problem with this model. The printer fails after a while as it has a short life span and prints only one side of the receipt. I've now lost count of the number I've replaced. You will need a new printer unit. It is not too expensive but it would be a good idea to sell it once you have it fixed. I've seen some machines that are on their fourth printer. If you don't have it in paper save mode so you only issue occasional receipts, it will race through printers.

Dell Asus M2N61-AX MB front panel connector Nix ATX Gaming case

I assume you mean the HDD,reset,on switch etc where they plug onto the mobo.

Most mobos are labelled on the board but you will need good eyesight to read. They are labelled HDD, RESET, SPEAKER etc.

If not simply look up mobo manual from vendors site. You will need the DELL serial / part number from the old unit though.

Dell OptiPlex GX150 won't do anything.

on the motherboard there is a battery. it looks like a watch battery. there should be a jumper next to it with 3 prongs. move the jumper over to the next prong and start the computer.( it will start but will not come on). turn off the computer and put the jumper back to the first position. start the computer again and the bios will be reset
