Lines accross the screen

Toshiba 42wh36p i have no picture when i turn the tv on all i get is lines accross the screen then the picture comes on but it takes at least half an hour could you help me please

The common fault with the toshiba 42wh36p projection tv if ur getting lines all over the screen its the faulty module board ref number zy01 change that panel and it will cure the problem useally if u leave the set on for 1 hour it tends to setlle down a bit im not sure what the name of the panel is or how much it will cost at toshiba if any1 knows the name of the part b4 i do plz let me know thanks

42wh36p - wavy lines

can you post a pic of the screen? Its hard to diagnose that type of problem with out seeing as it could be a deflection or a signal issue.

Screens broke

You can go to and use your model number to see if they are still available . They are somewhat easy to install by removing the speaker grille on the bottom thus exposing the screws hold the frame that secures your screens . Sometimes the screws are on the back side holding the screen . Send a picture of your tv if you think you might want to try it yourself . The screens can be expensive . Also try to call around to see if a repair shop might have some used ones that will work with your tv that are in good condition . Could save big bucks . Good luck

Toshiba 42WH36P rear projection TV has wavy lines

the problem is going to be a bad NEXT HYPER UNIT module. this is the digital scan card in the tv. try using the componenet inputs and if the tv works ok then you know that the HYPER UNIT is the problem. the reapir process for a "do-it-yourselfer" is too involved and would recommend a serivce center for this repair.

you tv problem intermittent the problem is in the color circuit, vertical circuit.have a tech check your tv for repairs.good luck.
