Question about APC Back-UPS XS900 (BX900) UPS System
I was away for 4 days, came home and the warning nose was on. if i shut the system off, then turn it on, it seems to reset and all is normal. but then after an amount of time, the warning sound comes on again.
the system has been less then year.
Most if not all units come with a one year warranty. If you bought yours used check the serial number with APC to see if your unit is under warranty. If it is they will send you a new or refurbished one. They have decent customer service and ship pretty fast. Is that warning noise illuminating the replace battery led? If so you may need a new battery especially if it is over a couple of years old. It is cheaper in most cases to get a higher capacity third party battery and replace it yourself then to buy a new ups. Unless yours is not functioning properly or you need a higher capacity unit. Just recycle the batteries and sell the unit if you upgrade.
