Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Will not read a particular disc

My 360 refuses to read final fantasy xi after downloading the nov.18 update.it tells me I either need to clean the disc(its brand new) or I need to re download it to my hard drive(which is immpossible without deleting everything else from it) I tried to download the game to my hard drive as it at first said only 3.7 MB required, now it says 6.6 MB required and now when I look at the memory final fantasy is not even there as an unfinished or damaged file to delete and re download. I've been playing final fantasy xi on xbox for over two years on the same disc with no problems now it won't read that disc or the new one I just bought for my girlfriend. also it plays other discs just fine. what the hell microsoft? ><

My final fantasy XI disc is not reading and it is saying it is not recognizable.Funny thing is that I was just playing it.

Most probably its surface is scratched and your console could not read it correctly. You could ask for a new disc from the store.

Need to delete Final Fantasy XI fom Xbox 360 and can't find the files for it. I think they're hidden. Anyone know how to find hidden files on the Xbox 360?

You cannot access hidden files on your xbox 360. What you do is go to MY XBOX > GAME LIBRARY> COLLECTIONS> ALL GAMES> FINAL FANTASY XI> DELETE. Doing this will delete all the game files for Final Fantasy XI.

Final Fantasy 11 Online (360) - Unreadable Disc

Sfabian answered the solution: If you are having trouble with your online disc and it is saying disc is unreadable, just follow theses directions:

Step 1: Put the disc on the disc tray, but do not close the disc tray.

Step 2: Connect a mp3 player, or a cell phone through a usb cord and listen to the music.

Step 3: close the tray but let the music play and then the game will load and don't reinstall anything, just select the first option.

This solution was fixed on final fantasy XI ultimate colletion.

Can't locate Hard Drive

If you have every removed your hard drive, then try taking it out and cleaning/checking the connections. Then put it back in. If you haven't then try that anyway but it is less likely to work...
