Spark plug have 97 sunfire with a 2.2 in it but put in motor from a 96 2.2 was wondering if the gapping inthe plugs is different also haveuing probs with the cooling fan when put new motor in it worked for while then engine light came on hasnet worked since , noticed the realy switch was backwards bought new one replaced fan temp gage sensor still nothing will come on if you unplug the gauge sensor but shuts off when you plug it back , any ideas.

Really need a Model as well are year and make, but this should help. You can also Google

Hello: There should be a white placard under the hood giving you the spark plug gap, Its called an ession label for your engine, the gap probably is .060 of an inch. The fuel filter should be behind the fuel tank or to the passenger side under the rear of the car.

yup thats your problem can you change the sensor from your old engine?

could be a couple of things. 1) bad plug or spark gap. check plug for burning on electrode. check gap. if you replace 1 then replace them all. 2) check wires for any white lines. mainly around the boots, but check it all. the white lines are tell tale signs of arcing. replace if needed. 3) chech distributor cap & rotor for arcing. if you have a coil pack it could be whatever pack is controlling #6

check spark plug wires and coils for moistore put some lube on the coil wires check for spark after it wont start if itll crank but not start its 1 of 2 thinks no spark or no fuel usally when the coils get too wet they wont allow spark to come through or will cause it to arc

As long as the 96 one looks the same as the 97 and fits properly.

96 sunfire - press horn and you hear the relay neer the glove box but there is no horn noise. I can't even locate the horn. Any suggestions?
