My blower sounds like the carburator or something is loose and it won't start easily and when it does it won't stay on or doesn't have good power

With the unit off, grab the carburetor and see if anything is moving. Sound like the cylinder may be loose. Before tightening cylinder screws check if the gasket is damage. If yes then change gasket.

Loose Carburator

If the carb mounting screws are tight then it is likely that the entire cylinder assembly is loose ( this is common) and the cylinder to crankcase screws need to be loc-tited and tightened.
If the carb mounting screws just spin and dont tighten then they are stripped. The intake block is plastic so you can either try over sized screws ( first try a screw that is the same diameter but a bit longer) or replace the intake block.

My poulon pro leaf blower will start then stop. I have installed a new fuel line but still having the same problem.

Check and see if the carburator mounting bolts have come loose creating a vaccume leak. on small engines this is common due to vibration while operating.

2007 Lawn Boy model 33006 snow thrower - when I push the electric start it makes a grinding sound. Would it be the starter motor or the drive starter?

check the bolts that hold the electric starter to the housing, if loose tighten them, if they are ok, try to get some lubricant on the shaft of the starter, the bendix spring may be stuck....

When i tip my toro snow thrower up, gas pours out of the carburator also it doesn't appear that the primer is working

The primer bulb is replaceable (it is held in place with a ring with small tabs around it, behind the bulb). The carburetor's bowl may be loose and the bowl nut need to be tightened or the bowl nut (called that, but it is actually a small brass bolt) has an exterior washer that needs to be replaced. Another thing that may be causing your problem is the carburetor bowl-to-body gasket may be leaking and finally, the needle valve may not be completely shutting off the fuel going into the carburetor bowl. All of these parts are replaceable and the carburetor can be fixed to where it will not leak. The key is to determine exactly what carburetor the machine has. The manufacturer and model of the the engine and the year made are key here.

Having trouble getting old blade off my ryobi brush clearing attachment. Whats the trick?

Is definitely a left hand thread on the bolt...your machine came with a small rod to hold the head while loosening or tightening the nut which holds the blade....there is a hole and a slot in the machines head to insert the rod....if you've lost it you can probably use a small piece of drill rod about 5/16 diameter or a drill bit to hold it ...turn nut in clockwise direction and it will probably come loose....good luck !!! ;-D

Bolt comes loose and rip cord is yanked from hand

  1. block off the blade and driver assembly with a 2x4 to keep it from moving
  2. remove the flywheel nut (regular hand force should be sufficient)
  3. tap the 3 holes on the flywheel (if they aren't already threaded) using 1/4inch 20national tap set
  4. remove the flywheel using a flywheel puller -- a harmonic balancer puller which matches the tecumseh bolt pattern on the flywheel also works using 3 1/4inch thread (20national, 2inch long) bolts with washers
  5. NOTE: (if the blade was removed/reinstalled, tighten the blade to manufacturer's spec of 60lbs) before installing the new flywheel key
  6. remove the sheared flywheel key
  7. clean up the flywheel (wipe off all the dirt and grease)
  8. install the new flywheel key (part 611004 for toro 20016)
  9. install the flywheel (pull the bail brake handle to get the ball-brake inside the flywheel)
  10. tighten the flywheel nut to manufacturer's spec of 37.5lbs
  11. prime the gas bulb, give it a pull and mow away

Troy bilt tb320bv wont start. only two months old.he cord won't pull out completely like it used to and it won't let me start the thing any longer. It is like something is jammed in the system.

It seems to be a usual problem with troy bilt trimmers and leaf blowers. There should be a half moon piece of keystock that holds the flywheel on,sometimes its known to sheer off. Could also be one of the keepers that hold back the plastic disk for the cord comes loose,it gets in a bind. Either way,you have to open up the case and see whats going on.
