Right Click on My Computer. Select Properties. Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button. Click the + beside the Sound, video and game controllers. Your Sound card might be listed.
Got to the website of the Manufacturer of your laptop.
support.hp.com = Enter your product number.
support.dell.com = Click on Drivers & Downloads
