When I open my email account on my PC, it takes ages to display the page and it is not in the same format as it was the previous day.Its display has no background or pictures. Yahoo help suggests a few things but I don't think they will work.I have tried on IE and Mozilla and no change. I have tried a system recovery to a date last week and also cleared the "cache". I use a laptop on the same modem/router and that is displaying correctly.I have to guess that a setting has changed on my PC as the rest of my familes email pages are OK. Any one got a solution for this?

HI, same problem. Red blocks instead of images when opening page. I've tried looking for ad blocker under my popup blocker - don't have this setting. I have Vista and Symantec antivirus. I didn't have any problems with this until few days ago. I don't think that I've changed any settings... Tried to dowload and/or update any existing java uplett, but still shows red squares intead of images. Please note - it doesn't have any cross (X) anywhere, as some other proble comment. It's only red square intead of image. Please help. My email is as follows: MANY THANKS for any help. Happy New Year!!!

I had the same problem with red blocks. The solution by unchecking Ad Blocker under Pop Up Blocker in Verizon Internet Security Suite fixed it. Thanks so much! I spent an hour with a Verizon tech remoting in to my laptop and he finally gave up. You'd think he'd know that!!

I was able to fix the problem. I'm running Verizon internet security suite. Under the pop up blocker section there was a second pop up blocker called ad blocker. I unchecked that one (disabled it) and the problem was resolved. No more red bars/blocks.

Open the Preferences of your Ad Blocker (should be in your AntiVirus Software) (not the pop-up blocker), scroll through the list of entries. Delete "" and you should now have pictures.

Also, you can simply uncheck the Ad Blocker box to disable the Ad Blocker.

How do I fix my yahoo email page? When it opens each email is covered about half way up by the following email, can't really be read; then the next and the next and so on...all covered by the overlaping...

1. This is how you're going to get your answer. But if you had registered, you'd get a notification.
2. Please do not use an old browser. Try Chrome or Firefox, instead.
If you're using those two: Wow. Try clearing the cache and cookies, or press Ctrl-F5 when you visit the page.

If you are unable to sign in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you may see an error message such as "Website Blocked" or a notification explaining that your login credentials are incorrect.

If your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements, the browser may not be able to display the page at all.

Confirm that your computer meets the system requirements and that the Yahoo! Web Messenger website is not blocked on your network, and confirm that your password is correct to sign in and begin chatting online. No Account
To log in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you must have a Yahoo! account.
This enables your friends to add you to their contact lists and chat with you.

It also gives you access to other services such as Yahoo! Mail.
To create an account from the Yahoo! Web Messenger page, click the "Get Started" button, and then click "Sign Up" on the following page.

Provide the requested basic information, including your name and birth date, and select your desired username and password.

Incorrect Password
When signing in to Yahoo! Web Messenger, you must provide the password that you selected when creating your Yahoo! account.

If you provide an incorrect password when signing in, Yahoo! Web Messenger displays the error message "Invalid ID or Password."
Click the "I can't access my account" link at the bottom of the sign-in screen.

On the following screen, click "I forgot my password" and then click "Next."
Follow the prompts to verify your identity and reset your Yahoo! password.

System Requirements
You may see errors if you attempt to use Yahoo! Web Messenger on a computer running an older operating system such as Windows 2000 or Millennium Edition, as Web Messenger requires Internet Explorer 6 or newer. Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari are also officially supported.

If you have confirmed that you are running a supported browser, navigate to the Adobe Flash Player page at

The screen should display the message "Adobe Flash Player Successfully Installed."
Download and install Adobe Flash if you do not see this message.

Website Blocked
If you receive an error message such as "This page has been blocked" when you attempt to access the Yahoo! Web Messenger page, your network administrator has elected to block the website in the network's firewall.

Parents can also use home routers to block websites.
Ask your parents or network administrator to remove the block so you can use Yahoo! Web Messenger.

The sign out area on my Yahoo email account is blocked and I can't sign out. Please assist me in correcting this problem

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "blocked" but if the window you have opened isn't all the way maximized, then some buttons on the email page may be covered by other buttons, so just maximize the window. Or possibly you just need to refresh the page? If neither of those are the case, try switching your Yahoo page to Mail Classic by clicking on the "Options" drop-down and then Sign Out. If you want to switch back just click on "All-New Mail" in the upper left-hand corner.

Actually someone has tried to sign in to ur id with wrong passwords several times, so yahoo has blocked ur id for security purposes. u can simply unlock ur id.ur sign in to messenger is locked but u can acess ur mail. sign in to ur mail and go it to ur account details. change ur password. if u wanna keep these password then change password once and then change them to current password. ur id is now unlock.

Cannot login to yahoo email account

I know yahoo has been having a lot of problems lately. If you are using a shortcut to get to your signing in page, try going through a new link instead and see if this helps. If not leave it for a little while and try again.
