Re: Computer turns on but freezes and doesnt load...
Sounds like your computer is a old one, or is slow. The problem could be little RAM, which is what the computer calls speed and how fast it will open things, the CPU is too small, which is the main processing unit and causes slow speeds if it is not one of the latest CPUs or your Hard Drive is full and doesn't have enough free room to run anything well. Fist thing i want you to do is run a virus scanner to make sure you have n viruses causing the problem. if its all clear go into my computer, find the C Drive and right click on the icon and go into properties and check its free room. if its less than 250MB delete programs you don't use or don't need anymore. Now go into Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and open Disk Defragmenter and Click on Defragment to begin the process. This will give you more free room and give it a small boost of speed in opening programs. This can take a very long time, talking hours so best to do it at night. A good way to boost your computers speed is to give it Virtual Memory, Which turns some of your hard drive into RAM. Right Click on My computer>Properties>Advanced and look for Performance and press 'Settings'>Advanced> and find Virtual memory and press change and click on the 'Custom size button' and Put '1024' into 'Initial size(MB) and put '2048' into 'Initial size(MB) and then click set then ok. It may ask you to reset your system. Do this. Now see if your application programs load faster. if not its a hardware problem and take it into a computer Technitian to get some more RAM in it to speed it up.

Click on start. Then click on Run.
Type in MS config.
Uncheck load startup Items.
click on ok and then click on restart.
Any application which turns on and starts using your port when the computer turns on would stop loading on their own and you will have free ports to use.
This happens when a startup program is is corrupt or is not responding. It can also be that a hardware is gone corrupt that is making the computer freeze. To correct the problem please follow the trobleshooting steps listed below.
Disconnet any external devices that you have added after you bought the notebook like usb devices ,printer etc. Then turn the computer on and see if the computer freezes or not .If it does not freeze then it means that there is an external device that is causing the problem and to find it out you need to connect one device at a time and check .
U can also do this .Turn the computer off completely and then when you turn the computer on keep on tapping the F8 key till it loads the advance boot menu page then select safe mode just plain safe mode and hit the enter key .Wait till it loads the the log on screen then select administrator. It will take you to the desktop and check if the computer freezes or not .If it doesn't then it means that there is a program that is causing the computer to freeze.Go to start?run ?type in msconfig?enter?click on the startup tab ?click on disable all?apply ?select the services tab?click on disable all ?apply ?click on ok or close to exit from the page and then select restart when it prompts you to .When it is booting up to the normal mode check if the computer freezes. Then you will have to find the program that is causing the computer to freeze. To do this first enable all the startup program and then check if it doesnt then its a program under services that is corrupt .S o select one or more program restart and check so this way you will have to isolate the program and then just leave that program unchecked.
Hope this post helps you ...all the best

What you describe falls under the general category of svchost.exeissues. Svchost.exe is used by your computer to access the registry and check the services to load during system startup.
arccon.ac is an ArcSoft Connect Notifier. There are two possibilities why its happening:
Microsoft releases regular security updates that are installed automatically on your computer by the Automatic Updates feature, which is enabled by default on your computer. The Svchost.exe Application error usually appears due to a problem with a recent update.
Closing the error message might freeze your computer. To fix this error, perform the following tasks.
Open Control Panel, select PerformanceandMaintenance, and then select Services.
In the SystemProperties dialog box, open the AutomaticUpdates tab.
Next, select the TurnOffAutomaticUpdates option.
Select Apply and then OK to accept your changes and exit the System Properties dialog box.
Restart your PC.
Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and then select the WindowsUpdate command from Start > All Programs to manually update Windows.
After the update is complete, enable the automatic updates again from System Properties > Automatic Updates.
This should rectify your application error. However, if the error keeps reappearing, then you might turn off automatic updates permanently and manually perform Windows updates at regular intervals.
Errors Caused By Virus Infection
Let's hope that this isn't the case. Lengthy procedure but if you are still having trouble, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
first you should go into safe mode and get a start up manager program and stop the programs from running at start up ,clean your computer with all in one cleaning software i have auslogics boost speed, upgrading your ram would help making it faster, get rid of the unwanted programs you dont need, get rid of the unwanted files you dont need and go to task manager and stop the unwanted processes from running thats just a few things you could try so it wont freeze up and it will be faster i clean my computer weekly so it doesnt slow down bc everytime you go on the internet it adds files to your computer that you dont need after your done. Hope i helped solving your freezing problem
Turn the computer off, then start it back up and press the f2 key repeatedly til a blue screen called the BIOS screen comes up, press the right arrow on your keyboard so it goes to the advanced tab. go down to speedstop and disable it, press f10 to save changes and start computer over. Now it will work no freezing :)
