Question about Belkin Mini Wireless Optical Mouse F8E825-USB
I cannot sync the Mouse with my computer. I am following all the steps- put in the batteries, turn it on, plug in the USB thing..... Hold down the buttons to sync and nothing happens. Please help! this is really irritating!!! I called tech support and they are "not available"...
Thanks for your help!
Hate to say this without sounded silly.. but we had these problems, and could not sync mouse with PC. THEN.. I read directions slowly, again.. and figured out.. it is the BOTTOM of the mouse we were not doing. There is a button UNDER the mouse you push.. not the bottons on top. (BOTTOM LEFT side it says). We were clicking the top, bottom of the button. Anyway.. just make sure you turn mouse over. :)

Belkin travel mouse directions (opened today & had a few glitches as the directions may be a little off -- see othe comments if you have problems)
Step 1: Place the two AAA batteries into the mouse by sliding open the top compartment. Cup the Mouse in your palm, press on the gripped surface with both thumbs, and gently pull the lid away from the buttons to open the compartment.
Step 2: Plug the USB dongle into the USB port of your desktop or laptop computer, and the red LED light on the dongle will turn on.
Step 3: Turn the Mouse on with the on/off switch located on the bottom rght-hand side of the Mouse.
Step 4: To sync the Mouse with your computer, press and hold the button on the bottom left-hand side of the Mouse. Then, press and hold the button on the USB dongle immediately after.
Step 5: Once you press the button on the USB dongle, the red light will begin blinking. Hold both buttons simultaneously until the red light begins to blink noticeably faster, and then let go.
Step 6: After syncing the Mouse, there is no software or installation required, so you are ready to go!

I had the same problem and wasted some time following the instruction slavishly with no result. I was about to give it up as a lemon. as a last try I changed the batteries which came with it to fresh batteries and then tried again still no joy, Finally on impulse I did the reverse to the instructions and pressed the USB dongle button first and then the Mouse button and it worked. Obviously I cannot tell if this is a solution or pure chance but you might try it.
BTW I still consider this device a lemon it really should be easier to get to work I think.

There seems to be a consistency issue with these. In my case it worked after I reversed the battery direction against the diagram. That is the positive end in the - terminal and the negative end in the + terminal as the terminal ends face the outer connection. Good luck!

I was frustrated by this unitinability to function correctly as this was one of my Valentines day presents to my Girlfriend. And I really didnt want to return it to Target so I simp,ly pressed the buttons on the mouse over and over turned it on and off and followed the instructions and now the mouse works famously.Be sure to press the mouse in the corner like it says in the instructions while you are pressing the little button on the usb insertthen when you notice the lights blinking rapidly let go and enjoy your surfing and wireless mouse.

I was just reading this trying to figure out how to get mine to work. The instructions are really tricky.
1. Plug in USB
2. Turn on mouse
3. Press button on USB and it should start blinking
4. Press the button on the bottom of your mouse (You don't need to wait for any blinking lights or anything to release the button)
5. The USB light should turn to a solid red light instead of blinking
6. Wala! It should work....hopefully...or your mouse if F'ed up and you should get your money back

SOURCE: Belkin Wireless Mouse
Today I tried pressing the reset button on the bottom of the mouse, and at the same time pressed the button on the top of the remote reciever. I'd pressed both in the past, but never at the same time. This seems to have fixed this problem. I hope it's a solution for others also.

Check whether the mouse is detected in device manager and proper drivers has been installed.if not install the latest drivers, from the CD which is came along with the mouse or from vendors site will solve your problem.
