Anyone find a fix for the "ERROR" message on the screen after replacing a dead battery? Tried Enter and Mode and received the codes AH02... and AID2.... Tried other combo of keys mentioned within FixYa too but no success. Any other ideas?
No solution. I just tried to change my battery yesterday and am receiving the same message. If I get a resolution I'll post it. Just wanted to let you know you're NOT alone!

I ran into same issue, would love to know your fix if you have one......I have an email into Garmin for support, because neither of the steps below worked for me.
From what I gathered, you need to try these steps first
a) hold enter and mode simultaneously 4+ seconds to reset the device, or
b) (THIS STEP WILL DELETE YOUR DATA) hold mode, light, and up simultaneously for 4+ seconds.

Thanks, Amy, my final solution was to pay Garmin $89 to repair. They couldn't fix it so they provided a refurbished watch as a replacement. Turns out to be an expensive annual solution when the battery dies!
