Hello there. Sorry to tell you but no. the graphire and intous pens are 2 different animals. one has 512 levels of sensitivity and the other has 1024 among other things. you have to get a new pen.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Intuos 4 pen clicking while hovering

You may have an issue with the drivers. If you're using the drivers on the CD, try updating to the latest drivers:

http://cdn.wacom.com/U/drivers/IBMPC/pro/WacomTablet_635w3.exe

If you're using the latest drivers and the issue persists, try rolling back your drivers to the previous release:

Pen is slowish and difficult for detail work. seems to be what I would call hurky jerky in the details. Intous 3 graphics tablet Model PTZ-431W

1. Make sure appropriate drivers are installed. e.g. If Windows version is XP, the driver should be for
XP.
2. Calibrate your digitizer/graphic tablet according to your requirements. This link should give you
an idea on how you will set your pen.

NOTE: Illustration is for Mac but it is similar with Windows.

How do you use the intous writing pad...what software do you use..HELP

You MUST get the "Driver" from the manufacturers web site. Download and install THEN & ONLY THEN Plug in the "Pad" As for use, well You will find it can be used with most MS software like say, MS, Paint, Word, etc, The "Pen" takes over the "Cursor" & you can use it like a pen. Also Wacom also will have suitable software to use it as well. Go to the Wacom web site. find your "Drivers/Software" download and install. http://www.wacom.com/downloads/

Wacom tablet pen right click always active.

I'm having this same problem with my original Graphire (ET), with a replacement pen that's less than two years old.
I don't think it's a driver issue, based on the indicator light on the tablet itself. It turns green like it's detecting a click when either end of the pen is brought near the tablet. To me, that suggests an issue with the pen hardware. The mouse has no such problem.
I'd be very interested if anyone has a solution to this.

I'm buying a used WACOM tablet without a disc or serial number. Will this pose a problem?

This should not be an issue. If you need driver for it you can just download them from the Wacom website.

The serial number woudl only really be used if you ever rang up a technical support team, but if this is an Intous 3 it is either out of warrenty or nearing being out of warrenty

And if you were using this with a mac you could use it as a "mouse" with the pen without installing any drives but quite a lot of the funtionality on this will not work - I.e. the rock buttons wont work, neither will the modiferyer buttons on the tablet itself.

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.

Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.

Everything works fine now.

To make the 1st solution even easier, disconnect the tablet from the usb port, lay the pen flat on the tablet surface and plug the tablet back in. Worked like a charm for me.
