setup on the program they are to be used with.Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to
broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for
the Audio and Video to function properly.

A web cam can generally only be assigned to a single running windows application: what Skype is telling you is that your webcam is already 'locked' by another program and it is therefore unable to 'acquire' it.
Use Task Manager (e.g. CTL-ALT-DEL to access) and see what else is running and 'terminate' any tasks that can use your webcam.
Hi. there some applications that wont work on your system if they are blocked by your system firewall.try to unblock some of those applications like your Skype and messenger from your firewall if you want them to use your computer hardware.you can find the firewall in the control panel of the system. please check and get back. i think you have
try this it may help, go to google and type windows messenger download, try downloading this again and it may pick up the web cam....i had windows live messenger installed and i downloaded it again and it picked up my web cam and its the same one you have. this may help you. when i first got my web cam set up i had no voice but after tinkering with it i got voice etc...

Install the program... then run the application..
click on file, video source, veo mobile/advanced web camera
(you should see yourself in the application window)
then open you skype
click on tools, options, video settings
choose splitcam capture, save
worked for me..

you remove all the software installed by browsing controll pannel>system>device manager and disconnect the w/cam restart the system then connect the cam the system wii detct the cam then u install the software again it will work.
hello, i have solution for this question but only for msn.........i dont use skype messenger.........so first u install software of logitech properly in u r comp then open windows live messenger........click the tools>audio and video setup..then press next n then select ur cam logitech quick cam pro 9000.....n then u see ur pic on that box..then finish it.......now try use it it will work......
if you use vista
some problems arrise with vista
vista is in its infancy stages right now some hardware and software does not work with vista makin it imposible to work with this is something windows is working on i dont know how long it will take but theres alot of non compliant vista software and hardware there working on right now to be compliant with there Os system this is a patience process what i tell people is that if windows update hasnt made an update for it they will its just matter of time before they get to all products im waiting a year for my vista to come out that way i know most of bugs are worked out
