SOURCE: RCA L6H media player having trouble playing .mkv files.

It could be due to outdated codec.

You can try to install CCCP or K-Lite Codec Pack that you can download in the link below

Make sure to remove all codec packs that you have installed before installing the codec packs.

Hope it helps:

How to convert MP4 to MP3 format using VLC Media Player

VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player supporting most audio and video formats (H.264, Ogg, DivX, MKV, TS, MPEG-2, mp3, MPEG-4, aac, ...) from files, physical media (DVDs, VCD, Audio-CD), TV capture cardsand many network streaming protocols.
It can also convert media files, transcode and act as a streaming server over unicast or multicast and IPv4 orIPv6. It doesn't need any external codec, program or codec pack to work.

For more information please visit the website.
If you still don't have the installer of VLC Media Player you can download it here.

OpenVLC Media player then click on Media. On the drop down select Convert/Savec818083.jpg

Introduction

The DVD Upgrade is an advanced modification to your DVD player, which adds extra features and enables you to get more from your machine. The upgrade supplements the DVD player and in no way harms the playback quality or removes any performance features of the machine.

The following DVD players are supported by this version of the DVD Upgrade:

 Sony DAV-C700

Macrovision & CGMS disable

All DVD players have a system called Macrovision built in to the player, which is designed to stop the copying of DVD discs to video. However, this system can have adverse affects on some projectors. For this reason the DVD MOD Upgrade disables Macrovision to solve any problems.

I HAVE AN OLD 74 MIN COMPACT DISC RECORDABLE FOR CONSUMER CD-R AND I CANNOT WATCH IT FROM ANY OF MY DVD PLATYERS OR COMPUTER OR LAPTOP WHERE CAN I WATCH

That would depends entirely on the file format employed in its creation. If you can display the files on a PC try to determine what software will open it/them up and go Googling for whatever it needs.

Did the lacie unit can play mpeg4 trp. file?

If you're talking about the Lacie external hard drives they can "play" any file. What you need to have is the correct software to actually watch the files. Winamp, or VLC media player are two items that will play that type of file.

I want to recover my Sony Handycam data. how do I can Recover all the files which are deleted by mistaken please help me to solve my problem

Yes, you can recover data from Sony Handycam
1. Do not save any new file to Sony Handycam.
2. Remove memory card from Sony Handycam and connect the memory card to computer with a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download a file recovery software, recommended asoftech data recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
4. Install and open asoftech data recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Next' button to start scanning process which will find your files.

Dont know how to get MP3 format, always says file not supported.

What you have is all a matter of converting mp3 files so you can put it on your player. There are many programs that do this, I prefer a program called tunebite. In that specific program you simply drop the files you want converted in and then select the output file type at the top as .MP3. It will drop the files into a tunebite folder in "My Documents" unless otherwise selected. You can then drag those to your portable device.

If you want another program or cannot find a serial number I can help with both. SImply message me or email me.

Converting/ syncing dvds to 2GB mp3 player model: SMPK2242

I have the same exact player!

Using Media Coder, you need to set frame size to 320X240, codec to DivX, and audio to LAME codec.

I have had great sucess cramming whole movies down to < 200 megs by using 128Kbps for video, and 128Kbps for audio!

I will be posting a page on my website, with Media Coder Presets, and links to get Media Coder soon, and that is almost a foolproof way to get it done.

Do not use other mp3 codecs, as your player will balk.

My website is http://zaphodb777.dyndns.org

watch there for updates!
