Question about Washing Machines
How do I fix water leakage from the back panel of Samsung Washing Machine (SW61ASP)?
SOURCE: leak in washing machine
can you tell where the water is hitting the belt from is it in the middle of the wash tub or from the outside of the wash tub please let me know if its from the middle of the tub its probably the seal that keeps the agitator from leaking, and if its from the side the in lines from the water spicket or the valve that controls hot and cold in the machine could be leaking, please look closely and try to see where the wateris dripping down from. thank you, then let me know

You need to work out where the water is coming from, either the front, back left or right hand side to give you an idea what/where to look.
Front - Open the door and check the door seal (usually grey rubber round the door) look for splits, chaffing, damage.
Rear - check the connection to the pump, there will be a (Black) rubber hose from the drum housing about 12-18"long, check for splits, connection etc.
Check and remove the pump itself, Isolate the electricity, to remove - disconnect the outlet hose from below the sink or upstand, lower the outlet hose to the floor and syphon off the water into a bowl from the machine, there will be some even if the machine appears empty. disconnect the plug on the pump (2 wires), disconnect the hoses from the pump (2 off) and check inside the hoses, bra wires, socks etc. look inside the pump for foreign objects, the pump can be wasily split open via 3 screws normally, refit in reverse order.
Top - remove the top cover usually 2 screws at back or side and will slide slightly to remove, check hoses to drawer and the hose below drawer to top of the drum housing, check the inlet solenoids at the back (where the water hoses connect).
hope this helps

remove the lid.then you need to take off the control panel move it out of the way.there will be a spring that holds the boot in place on the front where the door closes remove this spring the rmove the boot from the front panel then remove the front panel.there will be another spring that holds the boot to the drum.i have found it easy to remove the counter balance weights to remove and reinstall the new boot. i hope this helps sounds like alot but not real bad

Hello. Usually, you do not have to open up the machine to fix water leaks. Read on
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these: Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it. The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak. Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak. During drain and spin only A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details. All the time If the washer leaks all the time, check these: Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate. Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it. Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

Here is a list of errors for your machine.
I hope they help you.
SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINES, ERROR FUNCTIONS
When an error occurs, the alarm noise will sound and the error code displayed in the program window. Listed below is a series of error codes you may or may not see for your model of Samsng Washing Machine. The errors are shown as blinking in O.5 second intervals until the error status has cleared. In this case, all the driving devices are turned off until the error is cleared.
1. WATER SUPPLY ERROR - Display shows 4E.
Water Supply Error occurs when water level frequency does not show changes more than 100Hz or water is not supplied up to the preset water level after 10 Minutes or more at the time of initial water supply. The error status can be cleared by turning the POWER switch OFF and back ON.
2. WATER DRAIN ERROR - Display shows 5E.
5E is displayed if the water level frequency detected is 25 KHz or less in the initial phase of the UNB -detecting cycle. The Water Drain error can be cleared by turning POWER SW OFF and back ON.
3. OVER-FLOW ERROR - Display shows oE.
Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER switch OFF. The tub is drained for 2 minutes if a frequency of more than 25 KHz is detected.
4. UNBALANCE ERROR - Display shows UE.
Laundry load is unbalanced, manually loosen any tangled laundry.
If only one item of clothing needs washing, such as a bathrobe or jeans, the final spin result might be unsatisfactory and an UE error message will be shown in the display. Unbalance error is cleared by POWER switch OFF and back ON.
5. WATER HEATER ERROR - Display shows HE, HE1.
HE, HE1 is displayed if the water temperature rises by 7 C or more in 1 Min or by 2 C or less 20 Min after heating process has started. The error can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF.
6. WATER PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR - Display shows 1 E.
* Generated Frequency Signal of WATER LEVEL (WIL) SIW (KHz)
Normal Level = Abnormal W/L Frequency
Low Level = 30.00 Khz
High Level = 15.00 Khz
If the same signal is detected for more than 5 seconds, it is a PRESSURE SWITCH Error. When this error occurs the drain pump will operate for 3 min. and the display will show 1 E indicating a pressure switch error.
7. ABNORMAL WATER TEMPERATURE ERROR- Display shows cE.
e.g. If the water temperature is 50 C or more, during a Delicate or Wool cycle.
At the time of initial water supply, if the water temperature is not appropriate, the display will show cE. This error can be cleared by POWER SWITCH OFF.
8. WATER LEAKAGE ERROR - Display shows 11 E.
Water Leakage error occurs when the water drains naturally, (by leakage) after the washing program starts.
9. THERMISTOR ERROR - Display shows tE
