Being not sue of how these work, I imagine that there is a heater with an over-temp cut-off switch in it somewhere. It sounds like it's not getting hot enough. You would have to take it apart and test all the components with a multimeter, it you know how to do this. Find a big store with a good exchange policy that sell the identical model and bring your defective one back. These are made in China for 50 cents and the profit margins are astronomical for the junk that they are.Being not sue of how these work, I imagine that there is a heater with an over-temp cut-off switch in it somewhere. To troubleshoot something like this.
1. make sure it's plugged and the outlet is working.
2. Is it getting hot? If not, either the heating element is burned out or not getting power.
3. If it is getting hot check the steam ports for calcium build up (run straight vinegar through it)
Hi, Try puting a cup of white vinegar in and let it sit over night. It should disolve the build up of calcuim. Also try CLR it also will work. Good luck.
Hi
There`s probably an leakage from the steamblock, and the water flows over the contacts. This will short circuit the machine. Contact your dealer or nearest servicepartner and they will fix it with a new water connector.
To start with, use distilled water for steaming. This will prevent calcium build-up. I buy bottles of distilled water for ironing/steaming only. I have never had calcium build-up from using distilled water for ironing/steaming. Do not use tap water!!!
You can buy some CLR (stands for Cacium, Lime & Rust) (can be found at Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart, etc.). You can run this product through your steamer to eliminate build-up.
My Scunci MS 1000 heats and builds up steam, but the steam does not release from the spout when the release button is pushed. Plenty of pressure is built up inside (escapes when cap is opened). What is the problem?

Can you provide any further help?
